  1. I have a crack-free, stress-relieved, stock exhaust manifold that's been ported to match the gasket, that I no longer need. I'm asking 125 shipped I'll post pics in a bit. My feedback: http://www.starquest...273&hl=notfried http://www.starquest...501&hl=notfried
  2. So, the project is nearing completion.... Fresh rebuild. Nothing to substantial right now. Only mods are emissions deleted, NJV head, heavy duty valve springs, TEP mild street cam, BS delete. So just wanted to ask around here and see what trials and tribulations people had to offer on a clean, deep sounding exhaust system. I live in MT so there are no emissions, and really no sound violations up here, but lets not piss off the geriatrics neighborhood.
  3. SFP ceramic coated tubular exhaust manifold. Paid $650. Flange for factory internal waste gate TD05 turbo. Custom down pipe required. Can be tapped for T3 or T4. Does not have provision for external wastegate. Don't think they are still in buisness. So I guess it is a rare part. Never been installed. Can send pictures if interested. Seriously I bought this ten years ago. I am using Treadstones T3 manifold now, with Garrett T3-T04E turbo. $500 Firm
  4. ONLY ONE LEFT!!! I have for sale, 1 of the "elusive" http://autoplicity.com/images/Manufacturers/45px/903.gifLET-M01 Cat-back exhaust systems. This is Brand Spanking NEW, NEVER OPENED (pictured is one of mine opened for pics, however, yours would remain unopened)! These are no longer available through HKS (US) and these are the only ones available in the USA. No more can be ordered or back-ordered from HKS, so I've been told. Here is the info that you will find on the internet about these systems: ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Piping 60mm Tip 60mm Tip Style Single. Specifically engineered for turbo applications that require greater flow capacity than naturally aspirated applications, Turbo Exhaust systems use a straight through design. The increased flow characteristics offer a gain in boost pressure, boost response, a broader power-band and increases overall peak horsepower. Performance increases vary by application, with average gains of 10-25 horsepower. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ http://i1234.photobucket.com/albums/ff408/n8tallica1/DSC03230.jpg http://i1234.photobucket.com/albums/ff408/n8tallica1/DSC03231.jpg http://i1234.photobucket.com/albums/ff408/n8tallica1/DSC03232.jpg I'm going to be selling this for close to what I have in it. I purchased mainly because I know how impossible they are to find. Just to breakdown the costs to me, so you don't think I'm out to rip anyone off. (Cost went up a tad since my last purchase) MSRP per system: was $429 ....NOW $400.00 each ON SALE FOR CHRISTMAS! NOW $375.00 each $350.00 each Shipping: was $66.... NOW $50.00 Total: $400.00 My selling price is NOW lowered to $400 shipped ! 5. Turns out there's no emission requirements for classic or antique cars in Pennsylvania. I replaced the turbo and manifold a few years ago. Figure I might as well keep going. I've got a down pipe to use too. Does anyone have any good exhaust notes they can post?
  6. Ok so Ive been having an issue that is slowly getting worse, no matter what I do to trace it... Have a "spoon in the coffee can" type rattle coming from the valve cover, at around 2200-3000, and the rattle will back off if I full throttle it, and never has no problems on decell. The new parts... New cap, new rotor, new plug wires, new oem heat range plugs, and plugs are gapped now at .035", new coil. Timing is set at 10 degrees BTDC, new fuel filter, oil filter, oil is 10w-30 and right on the money w/ the dipstick. Now that its getting hotter out the rattle is increasing. Now, sounds to me like pre-ignition, so I upped the gap to the maximum of .04" and it ran like uber s***, and actually started misfiring and then a no start condition. Pulled the plugs back out, and they were fuel soaked and fowling. Put, the plugs back to the .035" gap, and now its back to running normally. Now, this problem didn't occur until this last tune up, so I put everything that I had just pulled off, minus the plugs and the rattle didnt improve at all. The vehicle is a low mileage, (79k) 89" with all stock components. Being an 89' it has auto lash adjusters, but it sounds just like a bad valve lash thats getting more, and more sloppy every day. Three question then... #1 Where can I place a manual fuel pressure gauge to ensure I have the proper pressure as it fuel soaked the plugs once I put the gap to the max.... Now, Ive never heard a noise like this because of too much fuel, usually just the opposite. #2 Is it possible to pull the valve cover, and run the vehicle, like you can on any old motor? Ya, I know its gonna be slinging some oil, but is it high pressure in the valve cover? #3 Any one had this type of concern before, with hydraulic lifters? ...Never floated the valves, and highly doubt theres a bent valve, as the rattle will go away on both decell and WOT. No blow by what so ever. Any thoughts would be much appreciated!

  11. So I have this black box next to my fuel injectors that has a vacuum line atached to it and then it has a large metal tube that goes behind the valve cover and ataches to the exhaust coming out of the turbo. What is this. Any advice would help. I cant post pictures right now but will try again in a bit.
  12. I was gonna fix up my silver 8787 but found it easier to just buy a new one. So the parents are tired of having this out in front of the house. It has the 8 inch wide shp front wheels but 7s on the back. It has a straight through 3 inch exhaust and a turbo timer. I have a transmission for it so if you have an engine and clutch than you have a running car. Has some dents on the passenger side but thats the only body damage. Sunroof doesnt leak and interior is pretty good. Will need to be towed. Best offer.NEED IT GONE. http://seattle.craigslist.org/est/cto/3371390258.html

Looking for M-6 or M-7 Head. PM me, thanks
  14. I'm in the market for a new exhaust for my Quest. I was searching the forums for the last few weeks and since Joyrgr seems out of the game for now and Burton's Custom designs may be a little too long to wait... I was entertaining some other options. It looks as though there are a few places that still offer an HKS system (for around $360) and I could possibly piece together a Magnaflow system pretty cheaply from eBay vendors. Which route would be the better choice (in your opinion) as far as quality and sound? Or is there a good option that I don't know about? My only concern with the Magnaflow unit is, I'd have to get the piece from DP to cat (for about $100, I need a cat in PA however I no longer have a precat.) and choose a Magnaflow muffler (assuming around $100) but where would I find the Curly Q piece that goes between them. I'd like to have a stock rumble, nothing loud and annoying. I don't want her to sound like a bumblebee. Like everyone else I'd like to do this as cheaply as I could, but I don;t want to hang a turd off of my rebuilt engine either. Lemme know guys, I value everyone's opinion. -N8
