Hey, The forum wouldn't let me post in the HVAC section, so i'm posting it here. I have a 88 conquest with automatic HVAC. I've got a thread in the restoration center under "Conquest Project." I need a little help/advise. My HVAC head unit does not illuminate. The buttons beep when you press them, but the blower motor does not turn on. I have not tested the blower motor with my power probe yet, but that will be the next step. Any thoughts on why the head unit beeps but the leds do not light up? Also found this wire under the passenger side dash when I was messing with stuff. It is not plugged in to anything. I know this is a total longshot, but I'm looking to pick up the rearmost piece of the L4N71B casing (the piece that the support mounts to and houses the rear tail-shaft seal) (not sure of it's technical name) Reason being, I'm rebuilding mine and I noticed the 2 stud bores for the support mounts are split in 3 places. I'd like to have one that isn't. I want this to be virtually bulletproof, so I can't have something as critical as the mount to fail. I've contemplated this for a while and now that I've obtained: one of BaltTsi's VB mod (level II) Master rebuild Kit with all steels/exedy frictions/seals/o-rings etc. also PM'd MikeMeyerhoff for some kevlar bands I finally tore into my spare tranny to build it up for my Fiji project. Alan has been kind enough to provide me with the ATSG manual, so I think I should be OK putting her all back together.
