  2. looks good what are you doing about the thermostat housing. I ran mine out the front of the head. I should be starting mine tommorow if all goes well. I also had some trouble with the throttle cable I need to find a shorter one. if you need any help or pics let me know. good luck...
  3. I have a centerforce dual friction clutch 240mm with about 3k miles on it. I put this clutch in my quest last year and put about 3k miles on it and it held fine. I had megasquirt mpi and an 18g turbo. I'm doing a 4g64 swap and don't think this will hold so I just going to get somthing stronger. $125 + shipping.
  4. i'm interestd if ono doesn't take it.
  5. stock 52mm throttle body and matched inake with the egr and coolant deleted from the intake. The throttle plate says RC. $125 + shipping...

  8. I am selling my megasquirt n edis setup im getting a good deal on sds from a friend for my newbuild. It comes with a modified stock pulley and crank trigger no a/c groove on the pulley, msII v3.0, all edis parts 2 good modules, 2 good crank sensors, wire harness, modified caravane intake and fuel rail, no injectors. It works great $425 + shipping.....also i'll include the laptop I was using to tune, it works well the battery is no good but i'll give the power inverter to plug into the lighter...
  9. i'll be there sat but no car i'm finishing my 4g64 swap.
  10. I have a modified 4g63 intake mani with a 60mm TB and I aready have megasquirt that I was using on my g54. I'm working on the intercooler piping next. I have a modified stock intercooler with 21/4" inlet and outlets, I plan to upgrade the IC later but it'll have to do for now. I'm thinking about a t3t4 maybe a 57trim for turbo and a tubular header, and a set of 272 cams but no port work for now. I should be making progress soon going on vacation in 2 weeks and the weather is starting to break up here so I plan to start working on it then hope to have it running somtime in may, we'll see......
  11. sorry about that. yea i'm not sure about the trans or how long it will last but I know where I can pick up a spare reasonable. I'm on a budget like most on here so we'll see how long it lasts. I didn't want to be rude and i'll be posting on the progress soon i'm still working on parts and the engine and start a new post.
  12. yea I know it's the weak link but we'll see how long she last's. I'm not here to argue over the whole swap . but that's ok if you wanna throw that in my face that the trans wont last that's ok. there's alot of fast 2.6l with the stock trans. I'll let you know how it holds up and thanks again for the insight. I don't know why there is so much negativity around here......
  13. what are you talking about it bolts right up I already test fit it. it's a wideblock. talk about speaking to fast......
  14. you guy's must like doing thing's the hard way. cause my you guy's are making a big deal over saying it'so hard to do. if you wanna make one of these cars fast you gotta do some custom work and when I said it was easy if you read the post it said the engine bolts right up to the trans and the motor mounts but all you guy's with to much time on there hands just like to jump right in and start talking smack on these posts why not ad somthing helpful instead of all the crap. but if it wasn't for all that these post would be to short so keep heckling everyone who makes a post and you act like you know so much more than everyone on here. like I said before it's easy to bolt the block and mounts with no mods it's still gonna take alot of work so instead of critsizing why not helping other guy's we are supposed to be here for the same reasons we love these cars and making them faster not about nonsense of how easy somthing is everyones ideas of that are different are different.....
  15. you just have to mod the stock intake like the magna. it's not that hard you just need some intercooler piping what's so different from the magna mod so common around here. i'll say it again it's not that hard................
  16. I have one with injector bungs welded in..
  17. no they will only fit the 4g series engines [4g63,4g64].
  18. the eclipse engines have a different trans bolt pattern than the quest they call it a narrowblock if you get a 2.4 from a d50 or max pickup it's a wideblock and it will bolt up to your quest trans and you can use your flywheel you just have to bolt a dohc head on it. You could also get a 2.0 from a pickup that is a widblock and put a dohc head on it but it has to be from an auto truck if you get a 2.0... check out www.projectzerog.com there is alot of info on there...
  19. where are you located and i'd like to see the pics i'm interested in the turbo and wastgate.
  20. nice engine is that a 63 or 64, wide or narrow?
  21. well maybe not several but I just dropped a 4g64 dohc in my quest yesterday the engine isn't built yet but I put it in for fitment purposes. If you swap intakes you have to modify your itercooler piping anyway why does everyone have to make some things they don't want to do sound so difficult???
  22. it's so easy to swap a wideblock out of a pickup it bolts right up to the starquest trans and the motor mounts line right up. if you don't need to use the dsm cam sensor you don't need to move the motor and trans forward. it's almost to easy just some intercooler piping and some other little things like putting the thermostat housing out of the soft plug in the front of the head and block off the rear housing and cam sensor hole. projectzerog.com has alot of good info. check out the page on trucks with the wideblock in them.
