  1. What happened to my preset stations? Everytime I turn on the car I have to manually change the station using the seek button. Anyone know which wire it is for the 12v constant on the stock radio?? Also, how can I add an amp to the stock radio? Thanks
  2. It can be placed in the Site Menu....anyone else think this is a good idea?
  3. Under catagorized sections like: Suspension/Brakes, internal engine, external engine, turbos, exhaust, MPI, etc... For instance, someone can go under "internal engine" and post info about a 284 cam...pros and cons; ease of installation, cost, seat of the pants feel, and perhaps a rating of 1-10 or whatever other info they feel is pertenant to someone else who may be thinking of buying that part....
  4. Better yet...can someone tell me which three pin connector goes to the turbo timer? See number (3) above....my timer did not come with the 3 pin connector since I bought it used but I should be able to find one off my old parts car. TT
  5. My type 1 turbo timer....Sarc was kind enough to host a copy of the instructions...but I was curious as to which wires off the ignition under the steering column I should tap into....I am hardwiring it HKS Instructions: 1. Key Switch Connector Remove the steering column cover to locate the key switch connector. Some vehicles may have the key switch connected directly to the main connector plug. To ensure a proper connection, use an HKS Turbo Timer harness (call for application). (1)    Remove the cable from the negative terminal of the battery. (2)    Connect the Turbo Timer harness in between the key switch connector and main connector plug.    Note: If no Turbo Timer harness is available, connect the following behind the main connector plug:    Red  [ 12] volt constant    Green  [ 12] volt ignition    Blue  [ 12] volt accessory (3) Connect the 3Pin connector to the Turbo Timer. (4)    Connect the black ground wire onto a good chassis ground. To ensure a good ground, make sure there is no paint below the mounting surface (sand if necessary). Thanks
  6. Can someone please tell me which wires off the ignition unit are: 12 volt constant 12 volt ignition 12 volt accessory What color are they and where is the best place to splice into them...thanks Tony T
  7. Exaclty how much will it be for the magna intake for a stock 2.6 head and flange for a ford TB plus shipping. I have the TB sitting in my garage. Thanks
  8. Thanks Sarc...got the instructions. Should be a lot easier now...thanks TT
  9. I may be mistaken but I think Tim uses a CS-130 AC Delco...or similar. My brother is getting me a new one with 110 amps ...all I need to do is make a braket and it should bolt right in. I will let you guys know how it comes out. Thanks
  10. I tried to install this thing yesterday...and when i got the steering column apart I could not tell which wires to use. On the side of the ignition unit their are three thin wires...one green, one black and a yellow. Are these the ones I connect the green, red and black wires off the timer to? Reason I am asking is because off the back of the ingition unit there are about 4-5 thicker wires. With out the instructions it is pretty hard to tell what goes where...I'd hate to just start cutting wires and take the gamble that it might not work or worse ground something out. Thanks fellas Tony T
  11. Chip, I am interested as well. Especially since it is half now half later. You cant beat this deal. I have waited 5 years for this! Now I just have to run it by my wife...LOL Chip, please check you PM. Thanks for putting this together.
  12. Thanks for the help fellas. Well, if the wires are the same color then it should be fairly straight forward (I hope). I tried to download the diagram from HKS but it was not listed for the type 1. I saw it for the type 0 but was not confident they were similar...thanks again for the help. TT
  13. Well I was gonna go that route but since I bought this thing used; the person that owned it before just hacked the wires when removing it. I think there should be a connector of some type coming off the back of the unit itself. Mine is just the wires so I am SOL on the harness. TT
  14. I just bought this unit off of e-bay for a good price but the instuctions are vague to say the least. Â Anyone know how to hook this bad boy up? Â Looks like it has some pretty cool features like shift light, 1/4 mile times etc...I do not have the harness so I need to install this puppy the hard way. Â From what I can make out: the Green wire goes to 12v ignition the Red to 12v pos constant the Black to vehicle ground the Gray to parking brake light the Blue to Speed sensor of the computer harness (their are two blue wires one with one red ring and the other with double rings)...which one is it? It also calls for a Thottle position sensor wire and a pressure sensor wire to be hooked up at the harness. Â Which wires off the HKS unit go to these? Â Thanks
