Looks like mine just crumbled on me...

I recently bought the power steering pump rebuild kit, and everything seemed to fit properly, new seals, gaskets, etc. But when putting the final four bolts on, I noticed that the pulley doesn't spin cleanly, as if something is blocking it. Made sure the gaskets were snug, made sure the pulley was set, but for the love of me, can't figure this one out. Has anyone had successful experience replacing the seals and gaskets on our PS pumps? I know i'm overlooking something, small i hope, but any assistance would be appreciated...thanks guys!

Hey Dan B! how ya been?

Selling my beloved Starquest widebody. Moved and need money for the downpayment of new van. Huge sacrifice. Here's a complete list of what was done and/or modified. 181596 miles seriously only driven about 20 miles since purchase (Dec 05) Drove it last in October, 07. Replaced turbo BSE kit (balance shaft eliminator kit) new timing guides new timing belt new battery (warrantied) replaced thermostat replaced radiator replaced coolant hoses replaced steering gear box replaced valve cover new pcv valve new turbo timer tires have excellent tread comes with : extra set of doors (white, passenger window, will add if i cannot sell seperately) extra turbo (may need rebuilding) valve covers (2) spare distributor TPS inpection expired in 3/8, new battery but needs charging, and TB gaskets need to be replaced. recommend towing it. body does need work on right rear quarter panel, i have 19g sheet metal as well for a quick patch up. car needs to be painted as well. interior engine bay showing minor signs of surface rust but can be painted and/or sanded can send more pics of interior/parts/doors etc...if needed. i give the interior a 8/10 for the rear, and 6/10 for the front, but all in all, good shape. I am pretty firm on $1000 since it's coming with the extra doors, turbos and other parts. Link for pics thanks for looking

i'm having the same problem too. i'll be looking at mine tomorrow night, keep u posted. just to make sure we're straight, gear box as in other side of the power steering pump right? just makin sure.

a pair of white conquest doors, 87. passenger side has a window, i'm not sure about the driver's side, either it's rolled down or it doesn't have the window. not sure about the power windows if they work or not, but they look like they are intact. i basically destroyed my oem trying to fit a BOV pipe and i need a replacement, anyone have a 45 degree and a straight silicone hose, 2.25 i can have or know a place that sells for cheap?
