  1. Any of you new guys running the GM Maft read the instructions well. If your setup is default for the base and the aux,you're running super rich unless you've tuned this out with the idle,mid, and wot knob .If the aux is moved counterclockwise it makes the car run so rich it won't start .5TH page of the manual second line read it will make tuning alot easier.I found out the hard way,since I run 2 sec I set it with the help of exgmguy.HEAR THIS no two will be set the same I run a similar setup to Rayman's brother and exgmguy, but all of setting are different .Just thought I'd share with some of you new GM Maft guys.
  2. Yeah the 16G packs anice punch. You still running the 2 sec injs with the 3in maft. Should make ahuge difference on the topend pull
  3. Well good news at last, got the maft running with 2 sec. injs. Runs great. I still need to do more tuning to be able to run higher boost ,running stock 10.5psi until I learn more about the setup.

Sorry guys no good news to post, went out this morning to warm the car up ,the car sputtered for a few minutes then would not startup again. :x I spent the better part of the day trying to diagnos the problem to no avail . Going to read the posts and see what I can come up with. I still think this is the best mod I've done (my car running or not).

  6. That 2 sec inj setup how good is it and do we have enough air to support it. Been thinking about it what are the benefits of running 2sec injs as opposed to running regular prim and sec. Just asking the question people might want to know.(mainly me) :?
  7. Your throttlebody will be the thing that bottlenecks the power going from 3.5 or 3 inch back to 2.25 or so. All in all the gm maf trans really does make the car feel like a totally different animal.
  8. Iagree with you this thing is awesome alot of guys are going to knock it because they have already purchased MPI parts. Don't get me wrong the MPI guys are way ahead as far as all out HP, but this thing is easy enough for and old guy like me to tune.Car runs way strong.
  9. Don't know why you guys are not trying this out but it's as good or better than Rayman said . I'm only running 9-10 psi max on a18g and this thing pulls way harder than with the 1st gen mas at much higher boost levels. Plug and play no other way. I'm going to work my way back up to 17-20psi where I'm used to running . I'll definately be looking for you Monty.You know the deal, once you're on top they all gun for you. Catch you in the hood sometime.
  10. Almost forgot my mods, 18g, 284 cam full 3inch, lightened flywheel ,ported head (Lynwood Daugherty)no BS NO Jet valves spec stage 3 clutch , and AHP homemade kit(don't laugh these cars are expensive . If I don't get back to you guys fast , I'm recruiting for the National Guard. Hooahh
  11. No one really knows me but I'm always in the shadows reading until i find a topic that I can add something to. This is definately it . Put the 3.5 from a 2000 vette (had to have adapter) and the translator. This thing is awesome. Mayybe I just didn't remember how the quest felt it's been 1year since I have driven it .turbo and money problems.Like Rayman said it runs about 2-3 psi on flat straights . pulls like a new motor . I have been out all evening just grinning about this . Oh and thanks Monty for all your help back then I appreciate it . I set the setting as follows . 1gen aux0 base0 idle-5 mid -5 wot -15 runs great .Still tuning so stay tuned because there is a dyno in Roanoke and i would love to see what it would do tuned correctly thanks for all the info .
