  1. i was thinking the same thing since he has the wheels in hand....come man grab a jack and a lug wrench and answer your own question. haha
  2. did you even read his first post, his block is freshly rebuilt.
  3. i have NEVER seen any ill effects of removing the charcol canister.
  4. its got 6 blades so its a g wheel for sure.
  5. gas tank still leaks for sure, soon as i started pouring in gas it started dripping out the patch job. but i figure its got gas in it so try and start it and.... http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b343/vcyberbob/Misc%20Quest%20Pics/larry045.jpg better grab the line off the duraban car coming off the top of the engine bay fuel filter, the other white car and the 88 out back both have that line CUT OFF
  6. yea i was going to put it back on but someone else installed the turbo
  7. you know i was just thinking, is your bank statement gonna be able to handle a additional $5 for gas onto your bill? LMAO i am laughin but i hope i have $5 in my bank to buy the gas to add to your bill.. man times are rough right now.
  8. i have NEVER re-surfaced a FW, my FW is used and my clutch is used and it holds like nobodies business. 4200rpm 2step launch and it tries its hardest to rip the rear end outta the car
  9. busted my tail to take it from this... http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b343/vcyberbob/larry/larry025-2.jpg http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b343/vcyberbob/larry/larry026-2.jpg http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b343/vcyberbob/larry/larry027-1.jpg to this... http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b343/vcyberbob/larry/larry038-1.jpg http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b343/vcyberbob/larry/larry041-1.jpg http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b343/vcyberbob/larry/larry040-1.jpg and now i cant start it cause the gas tank has a hole in it its freaking killing me i cant fire it up.
  10. ok i was gonna wait and see if you were coming before i attemepted to dump some gas in this tank. like i say the patch job he did is right by the drain plug so its right on the bottom of the tank. i should know asap if its gonna leak, just wish there was a cheaper way to find out then $3 a gallon. i just wanna get it started and let it warm up to temps so i can re-tourqe the head, set timing and just make sure everything is working correctly. the 02 sensor in this thing is pretty ratty looking, gonna peak around and see if i have a better one but i had to tear the place up last night looking for a coil cause i forgot to grab the one off the duraban and your other 2 cars here dont have one. i finally found my old one in my tool box in the old msd package my new one came in.
  11. on top of the gas tank swap...haha. cause it isnt gonna be able to start until we can get some gas in the tank cause that mother is BONE DRY i dumped in 2 qts but pretty sure its not 2 qts that dumped out. like i say that first qt went in fast not sticking around in the funnel long at all, the second qt poured in very slow and was being backed up in the funnel. larry are you coming down today at all?
  12. a stock 87 will start cuttin out between 12-14psi, its realated to the outdate mass air, the maft should take care of that problem.
  13. ok my brains kinda remembering things as i am waking up and thinking back on it. i only poured in two quarts cause i wasnt sure how much fluid still may be in the trans. the first quart poured in very fast, second qt went in a heck of a lot slower and i bet it was because it was full and slowly draining out that tube. it also made some weird noise when i poured in the second quart now that i think about it cause i was like "what the heck was that"
  14. its the tube on the passenger side just as you guys discribed, 90% sure the fluid was coming out from there. at first i thought that the fluid was coming out the trans pan cause thats where i saw it dripping from. i grabbed my rachet to tighten the bolts on the pan and knoticed it dripping from the tube. havent been out there this morning to see if the puddle is any larger or not. this is how much poured out last night. http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b343/vcyberbob/larry/larry039-1.jpg
  15. wait....unplugging the MAP sensor will allow more boost on a 86?? who cars about the stock boost gauge not working who looks at that thing anyway, its about as useful as my narrowband...haha.
  16. i guess when i hear "tune" i picture a car on a dyno with a guy in the front seat with a laptop. mine does have a maft but i only have narrowband so i wouldnt call it a tune exactly, but you are correct its tuned to some extent i guess. flashy light tuned...FTW. just for the record its hard to hold a camera, shift, and not kill yourself while giving the car everything its got. http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e82/silverquest/thetrack/th_cars067.jpg
  17. not sure, factory wheels have about a 4.5 in backspace so you would also need to worry about them rubbing the struts if they have any more backspacing then that. as far as height thats something your gonna have to find out once you get them bolted on. if your car sags out back then they may rub.
  18. arent the cragar SS wheels unilugs?? my greg weld wheels are, they will fit on anything 5 lug.
  19. my 17c is a T3 with a tdo6 wheel, mines from a GMC Typhoon not a normal starion 17c, a starion 17c is a th05h and will bolt right to the stock mani. i run a modded stock mani with a T3 flange welded on it, i actually have a spare T3 modded stock mani sitting on the bench also.
  20. <--- no wideband, no tune just paus is also correct, tainters ran in the 13s with a stock 12a a 20psi.
  21. ok everything is hooked up, started pouring ATF in the trans and its pouring out as fast as i am pouring it in. there is a tube right above the shifter linkage that is supposed to have a hose on it but there is nothing attached to it. WHAT GOES THERE?? again guys this is my first time messing with a auto
  22. yea i am kinda stretching the limits with mine, but i aint skeered. but drive it daily on pump gas at 20psi, but i dont hold it to the floor for long periods either. also have my rev limiter set low (5500rpms), this motor doesnt need to rev to the moon to make it fast. this was a pump gas run @ 18psi last season with a slipping clutch, my driving skills have sucked this year. http://i404.photobucket.com/albums/pp121/hschwartz3/Cyberquests%20Car/th_100_0320.jpg my main upgrades are the maft, t3 17c turbo, and 3in exhaust.
  23. not a 1g mass, a 1g MAFT (mass air flow translator) http://www.fullthrottlespeed.com/itemdesc.asp?ic=050DSMTRANS1G if you buy one of the turbos i mentioned then YES it will bolt to a stock manifold.
  24. trade you this for it... http://www.mdhb.com/images/banana1.jpg
  25. i run a T3 17c @ 20psi, stock motor, stock injectors, bosch fuel pump.
