    it should be fine to re-weld it. If you are worried about strength have some one tig weld it for extra strength. Make sure you brace it before you remove it so it does not move

    all that rust busters is is pretty much hardfacing like they do to cranks and brakes i dont see how it can be galvanizing and not harmful. all galvanized is is zinc on the outside of the metal and zinc is a very harmful material
