  1. Shelbly I've never talked with you directly, but you've been such an asset to the whole community, and I know I've learned a lot by things you have posted. God bless, and I wish the best for you and your family.
  2. U joint? I had a bad u joint in my car and it made a pretty distinct metallic grinding sound under certain load conditions.
  3. First for me was my parents 89 Montero, 6 cyl 5 speed. I was maybe 13? Farm life. Lol. Great car to learn on, pretty hard to stall lol
  4. Yeah I know miguel. He also used to live in Newport news VA. His black car actually came from that area. Super cool dude, and he's not lying about being a star quest expert.
  5. OK good to know. Thanks for the info. I'll try it tonight and see if it helps any.
  6. I have an aem uego wideband. John would you think I'd see a code for a CTS? The only other code I got was for the isc, which from my understanding, wouldnt be part of my current issue.
  7. *should say can't seem to get rid of... Sorry about any sentences that don't make sense, I typed this up on my phone haha
  8. Hey all, im having a faulty 02 sensor code I can't seem to get RIF of in my 88. I had a new bosch 02 sensor and was still getting a code, so I got another new one and its doing the same thing. I swapped another 02 sensor from my other quest (which was not kicking any codes) and it was still giving me the code for a faulty 02 sensor. I took it on about a 15 minute drive, and the car was certainly at operating temp. The car runs well some of the time, accelerates smooth and pulls strong, and then sometimes doesn't accelerate well. The wideband will read 10.0, and the car still accellerates, but certainly not as well. I'm at a loss here, I suppose I could have a wiring issue between the 02 sensor plug and the ecu? I don't know how likely that is. I've heard some folks say that a heated 3 wire 02 sensor works better. Maybe I should try one of those, but I've never had any issues with the 1 wire. Any help is appreciated, thanks!
  9. If its got an aftermarket exhaust I may be interested in that.
  10. You don't really have much choice. When the truck was rented you (or whoever rented it) signed a legally binding contract saying you understood the repercussions of returning the truck damaged, and declined insurance. Every day they are repairing the truck and not having it available for rent means lost income. I think the time for trying pdr would have been before you took the truck back.
  11. Id prefer not to. I'm happy to drop it off at ups and let them box it up if that's what you'd like but I'm not really interested in packing it and shipping.
  12. These are back up for grabs, the sale fell through. To the top!
  13. Thanks rob. I was on my sisters computer when I posted it and for some reason her comp and photobucket don't get along. It wouldn't let me grab the individual links
  14. Sorry Phil I'd really like to not mess with shipping. Rob I pm'ed ya back
  15. Unless someone speaks up and says they would take the other one I'd prefer not to separate them.
  16. As the title states I have a really nice black straight line cloth interior from an 88-89 that I'd like to sell. I dont have the doorpanels, but I have everything else including the rear side and top bolsters. The seats are in fantastic shape. One of the top rear bolsters has a tear in the corner, and the tops of the rear seats and bolsters have faded to blue. The stitching is starting to pull away on the drivers shoulder seam, but could certainly be stitched up pretty easily. The seats dont have any stains, and would look and feel much nicer then dry 20 year old leather If your hoping to do a black interior swap, I have several other black pieces including a flawless dash and maybe even carpet (if i can find it!) that I would be happy to include. Pics can be seen in the link below. Any questions feel free to PM me or call/text at 804-314-5938. I'd like 400 for the complete interior. Local pickup would be much preferred to shipping. Thanks! http://s45.photobucket.com/user/philipbmckinney/library/?sort=3&page=1
  17. I have a very nice set of starion tails for sale. I would say better than 90% of the Starion tails out there (ive had a bunch through the years lol). Minor stress cracking on the passenger side corner ( I took pics of it so you can see) and thats it as far as flaws go. No evidence of moisture or water leakage, and no major scratches whatsoever. 250 shipped to your door! Feel free to PM me, or call/text at 804-314-5938 Phil Pics can be seen in the link below http://s45.photobucket.com/user/philipbmckinney/library/?sort=3&page=1
  18. I'd like to sell my 83 hood. Overall its in good shape, and its very straight. There is a little rust bubbling on the top side, but its not rusted through on the backside. It was painted silver about 6 years ago, and looks ok. If you respray it, I'd think you can take care of the rust before it becomes a real problem. I'd like $500 for the hood, pickup in Doswell va 23047 is greatly preferred. I would be willing to travel a little (about 2 hours or so tops) to help get the hood to you. Feel free to shoot me a PM, or give me a call/text at 804-314-5938 Phil http://s45.photobucket.com/user/philipbmckinney/library/?sort=3&page=1 I cant seem to get pics to load to the page but if you copy/paste that link in your browser it should work. Thanks!
  19. Yep that's definitely a rear 9. Nice find!
