Thanks Ironside. I was thinking about hanging on to it until my daughter was old enough to drive but that is 2-3 years away. Anyhow, forgot to mention that it has a clean title. Also, the reason its so quiet is because that is a stock muffler. I love the look and sound.

Im finally gonna put her up for sale. This is my 1988 Conquest Tsi 5speed. I just dont drive the car anymore and it has been sitting in my garage for the last 4 months although it did serve as a hiding place for the kids xmas gifts last month. I've owned this car since 07. I rebuilt the motor, and swapped in a complete leather interior from an 89. The motor was rebuilt with a new marnel head, oversize valves, springs, heat treated race prepped rods, heat treated new pistons, brand new heat treated and stress relieved manifold: all purchased from Randy at EMS. Its running with an 18G turbo. The motor work was done at Kendrick Automotive in SA, TX. Everything is fully balanced and blueprinted. Everything under the hood including the intercooler and piping ran me in the neighborhood of 4k dollars. Since 07 the car has been driven less then 5k miles. As it sits now, its in the garage with a cover over it. All my time and money are being put into my Mach 1. This car is too nice to sit there like this. Im also trying to come up with enough money to take the family to Disney World this year. Its not perfect and I'll try to list everything that I think is wrong with it but there is nothing major. Mechanically it is fine. Its never been run hard, never been raced. I've never even installed a boost controller so it is running stock boost levels. The transmission shifts great and the car runs good. I included a vid from today as I took the kids out to grab a bite to eat. I know I am probably forgetting some things so I update this occasionally. Im asking $3500. I'll drive the car to you if you are within a 100 miles if my asking price is met. There is also a small oil leak coming from somewhere. I guess its been sitting too much. The front air dam was new but a close encounter with a dog at 35mph damaged it a little on the drivers side. The bracket for the GM alternator broke but I have another one just havent installed it. Other then that it in great shape. All easy fixes. Damn, I would of been happy to trade my 88 Quest for ur V8 Quest. You'd have been much more happy. Eitherway, sorry for your trouble. You should have had someone that knows what to look for tag along with you.

Got it...doesnt seem like something I want to get into. The last thing I need is another project car. Anyhow, it seems it is also going to need the front struts rebuilt or replaced. So I'll have to do some research on that as well. Thanks dmyers, that car is unbeleivable. Well done!

I just bought my car back after two years. It needs some maintenance. I was wondering if there is a way to utilize the 3000gt brakes on our cars. I remember someone working on a bracket at one time but searching didn't find anything specific. Also, if anyone has the stock muffler laying around please let me know. Thanks

Whats up fellas. Its been a while. I sold my blue quest to my brother a couple years ago. Anyhow, on his way to work last week the GM alternator brackets completely broke off and left him with out the water pump. This bracket has less then 4k miles on it. We dont have time to order new brackets etc...right now I am looking for a stock conquest alternator. I was wondering, since no one has a conquest alternator in town, will a caravan alternator fit the stock bracket? For that matter, do any other alternators work on these cars? I am trying to help him get it back on the road so he can get to work on Monday. Thanks for any advice/info. Thanks

Yup...he will not sell it back to me...it now has a sputtering (injector) issue. I should have never sold it.

Very nice car. Its been a while since I have been back here since I sold my Fiji 88 to my brother to help with my Eclipse project...I've since then sold the Eclipse to help fund a new home. ANyhow I'm in the market for a 4G6x quest and noticed yours. Let me say it is a very beautiful car. I am interested however was wondering how well it drives on the street. Also, it sounds like you have a lifter tap or just an exuast leak. Neither pose too much of an issue however. Do you have any more vids/info you could pm me? What does it do in the qtr? How is the tranny?

When going over the build with Polk, talks consisted of a 650-700HP motor with the capability to run nitrous. I figured I'd only need about 500HP or so to reach my goals but wanted the capability to go faster if needed.
