  4. as far as the translator you will want one thats made to work with 1st gen eclipse's and at least version 2.0x also the maf you will find easily on ebay it came in a couple different chevy vehicles one being the corvette you may find a deal on one (maf) on dsmtuners.com in they're for sale section! Great tuning device I wouldnt own another starion without one, and a wideband of course!
  5. You have a pm, mine is for sale and im in tampa! just lemme know!
  6. As much as I hate to do this I must part ways with my baby as I will be moving within the next year and wont be able to bring her along! Shes an 87 palmero grey, motors been rebuilt about 5k miles ago actual mileage is off a little as the speedo was broke when I purchased the car witch is now fixed! Odometer reads approx 64,xxx miles I know its over 100k just not sure of exatc miles. Oil is changed every 3k miles with Mobil 1. The ONLY leak the car has is a bit of power steering coming from the lower washer on the steering box just above the pittman arm. Shes very quick and runs great boost is set at 20psi with a good tune! I've taken her to a couple auto-x's and shes done great a little to torqy for me but very fun I've also taken her to Miami 600mi round trip and back and Orlando and back for some car meets and done great! Car comes with many spare parts aswell! I'm look to sell for $3500 OBO Located in Tampa Florida! Suspension: st swaybars, st lowering springs, tokico shocks, adjustable camber plates, poly bushings, front and rear strut bars, drilled rotors, newer pads, ss brake lines, decent tires yokahamas. Many polished parts and braided lines in engine bay aswell! Battery relocated in trunk, ABS delete w/ braided ss line and some wire tuck work has been done by me . She gets decent gas mileage considering its power about 22mpg those with a heavy foot will see less lol! Interior: I would say its an 8 out of 10 leather is in good shape considering its age (23yrs) short throw shifter, gauges include aem uego wideband, autometer boost, egt, oil pressure, water temp all gauges are in working order. Sony cd player sounds ok, no AC, has power windows, mirrors, locks, seat belts, steering all working . Exterior: I would say is a 7 out of 10, there has been some body work done on the pass rear quarter panel and has been repainted front lip is cracked a little bit nothing major and driver front fender got caught in an electric slide gate at a shop in tampa a while back never got around to fixing it. For some reason only the high beams work? I've never got around to fixing that. Also has Shp wheels! Well I'm sure you've heard enough on to the pics! This first photo was edited to show how it would look without the vents cut out in the front! http://i756.photobucket.com/albums/xx207/jakedasnakemr2/DSC_0029.jpg This pic shows how it actually is (the front header panel vents) I have a spare I was meaning to paint and replace this one but never got around to it! http://i756.photobucket.com/albums/xx207/jakedasnakemr2/DSC_0025.jpg http://i756.photobucket.com/albums/xx207/jakedasnakemr2/DSC_0030.jpg This is the best pic I have showing the damage to the drivers front fender http://i756.photobucket.com/albums/xx207/jakedasnakemr2/DSC_0060-1.jpg Battery is now in trunk and some of the wiring in that area has been cleaned and hidden a bit now! http://i756.photobucket.com/albums/xx207/jakedasnakemr2/DSC_0019.jpg http://i756.photobucket.com/albums/xx207/jakedasnakemr2/DSC_0034.jpg Interior is in exceptional shape no rips no tears in the hard to find in good shape 89 style seats! http://i756.photobucket.com/albums/xx207/jakedasnakemr2/DSC_0036.jpg SHP wheels are also in good condition for their age there is some slight clear coat pealing but not very noticeable http://i756.photobucket.com/albums/xx207/jakedasnakemr2/DSC_0032.jpg
  7. Soooo is the meet still a go? No ones said a thing on here for a while just checking in!
  8. hey when it get closer you think you can post or pm some directions to the cook out Im familiar with st pete but havent been to a meet and i cant wait to see more starquest's! Fla88ESI-R I cant wait to line mine up next to yours either man sounds fun! no homo lol!
  9. man that would have been nice to bring my starion to desoto on my hx35 but I f***ed it up part of the intake got sucked into the blades so I'm back on the stocker lol! I'm still down to go I'll just have to see what the little 12a has got! lol Cook out sounds good lemme know if you need me to bring anything food wise I mean!
  10. Yea I haven't got to a dyno yet it may be a bit before I can I'm leaving today for a 3 week vacation so maybe in February before I can show the results! It is truly a shame we cant adjust timing more for this fuel it would be interesting! I've only been on this setup for about 3 1/2 weeks still have to finish the exhaust and I'd like to reroute the intercooler piping and make the maf a blow thru setup and I think that will clear up some little rich conditions I get as I let off the throtle as the bov vents to atmosphere besides that like Ronald says "I'm lovin it"! lol Oh yeah like Indiana said with ethanol you really only need a 25-35% mix to do what we're trying to do which is stop knock and be able to run more boost safely I did that when I first tried to tune on it because I was on stock injectors and knew I'd run out quick and had no issues I may go back to that mix to save some because i don't have a station near me I get it by the (55gal) barrel so any way I can preserve it I will!
  11. Sorry I guess I wasnt all to clear on my setup, yea I'm running a 1260primary and a 1600secondary turned up the fuel pressure up a bit and I'm not quite running e85 per say I'm diluting e100 with 93 pump about a 50/50 mix so I guess you could say e50! LOL A friend with a 1st gen laser running the same mixture on a 16g at 30psi with out knock issues and some nice timing I know if I were to run straight e85 I'd deff run outta fuel at the injectors!
  12. ^ what he said you car is staying in closed loop aka cold mode and will run rich until it reached normal running temps! this can lead to a number of problems, washing out cylinder rings contaminating oil with fuel bad gas mileage and poor performance deff put a new t-stat in there she'll run alot better!
  13. Do you have a GM MAF-T? If so thats all you really need! I'm running e85 now on a very similar setup and running 22psi on a holset hx35 without issue and minimal adjustment to the translator! afrs are 11.8 to 12.2 and I'm getting great gas milage! Hope to have picks up when I come back from a vaca.! Best of luck let us know how it goes if you try it!
  14. I know you already got the copper line but it may leak aswell if your not using teflon tape on the threads they're also prone to cracking from vibration as said above I bet if you threw some teflon and installed and tightened lines properly it wouldnt leak I just put one on my car the other day without issue! either way best of luck
  15. Could also be a bad or failing mass air flow meter from the sounds of it your running pig rich, which can wash out and scar cylinder walls and contaminate your oil! So I'd say it's between the injectors and the mass but another possibility is boost leaks which can also cause rich conditions in-turn lead to hic-ups and bad gas mileage!
