Hello all, pros I think that a thread rating system may be a good idea. It would enable people to read the best liked threads, instead of sifting through crap threads with zero detail and zero pics, I mean lets be honest, we all want details, pics, and an overall interesting read. cons Possible that only highly rated threads will be read, thus leaving potentially good threads out, which would be sad Also, it seems that almost nobody on here uses descriptive Topic Titles. there are too many "What about THIS" or "OH look" threads. This would not be so bad if the threads showed the first few lines of the post when moused over, another idea??!! What do you guys think?

It is a good thing indeed, everyone working together, woohoo. It does have downsides. Like enabling one party to blame another for both parties faults. At my parents home they have a N belkin and it seems to be awesome. At my house last semester the girl that bought the router bought a really low quality belkin, and it just completely sucked. I bought the Linksys Wireless G w/ speedboost(wt.... is that?) for my apartment this semester, and I am very happy with it. I haven't had to reset it ever and is much more utilitarian looking (it looks like a piece of real hardware, as opposed to a piece of shite plastic) But really, I think you get what you pay for no matter which brand you buy. They are probably all about equal for equal price ranges.

So everyone just got out of class and i just realized its 4:20. That is all. Peace.

If McCain/Palin win, then McCain could die, and we end up with Palin and more of the same bipartisan politics. Probably with a look on her face similar to a small deer before being hit by a truck. If Obama/Biden win, then Obama could end up becoming High Chancellor of the USA or something similar lol, but at least they will be qualified. Journalism degree imo does not qualify you to be vp, that makes the office into a farce. Either way, i'm voting obama. And either way, most of us won't notice as stated above. Unless I end up in WWIII then i will notice lol

Just to point out, its not "Linux or Ubuntu" as you stated in the original post. Ubuntu is Linux, its just a specific distro, of which there are many (very many). I love running Ubuntu because it looks gorgeous. I have a 17"(1920x1200) laptop with a 22"(1680x1050) monitor hooked up, and the effects and all that jazz look amazing and modern spanning both monitors. I purchased an external 150gb drive and installed Ubuntu to that, so I can simply plug it in, and boot from USB drive whenever I want to use linux, without worrying about anything writing to my hdd accidentally. Also, the install is very speedy. Literally minutes, as opposed to hours or so with Windows, not to dis windows, as I love it too. If you like the looks of the Apple OS you can also make your linux look exactly like it, or exactly opposite if you so desire haha. Also, most distros will have almost all of your productivity programs already installed, and Open Office is compatible with MS Office. So spreadsheets, presentations, documents, etc. will be supported right after you install it. Even photo editing and managing programs are also installed by default a majority of the time. The only thing you might have to do is get codecs for movies and music, but even some distros have those included now. Truly, I see no downside to you at least checking it out. If you are not a gamer, then you will probably love the modern looking and very customizable gui of any linux distro out. Best of all, most you would want are FREE!! you just can't argue with free IMO. If I wasn't so lazy I would probably migrate to linux, but right now I use design software for my electronics classes that probably only work on windows. I really should just do it. I need to check if my Steam games can be installed in linux via wine and get the same performace i guess. Sorry so long, Download the latest stable release, burn a CD, boot from it, ENJOY!

Don't think it does much really. I think its mostly a compilation of old fixes with a few new things for people that never got the last SP, but I could be wrong. I updated nonetheless, no differences noticed.

Oh gawd...so much fanboyism lol. Ok, so PCs maybe aren't the best for photo and video editing, oh no. Oh wait that doesn't matter for most of the population. And every mac user pretty much uses microsoft office and/or dual boots XP, so its a pretty moot point either way. I do like the clean sleek UI on macs though. Who gives a frack what it was made on. Lets use Macs and PCs harmoniously!!! omg, and then there's linux which looks amazing, but has to run wine to play cool games. So much choice. rambling now i feel lol

Craigslist is just so full of scam stuff its almost not worth going to anymore, you have to sort through piles and piles of s*** only to find a like $8 at the bottom usually. I worked at Lowe's in the outside garden center, it was always nice being outside all day. Those places are probably slowing down though in the winter also, but they have night shifts unloading trucks and such, or you could get a regular hour job there just walkin around helpin people find things and rollin around in a forklift stockin shelves occasionally. I know at our Lowe's they would hardly let people stock stuff during the day cuz it was all about the customers, so that just meant more time to walk around with the other employees shootin the s***. I have only heard bad things about working at walmart from all of my friends that worked there, but they could just be whiners. Hmmm, maybe you could try and find a landscaping business to work for on weekends? Not one that just does mowing, the ones that do walkways, irrigation systems, lighting etc for rich people are the best. Lots of the time they do landscaping, and in the winter they do snow removal. They usually get paid fairly well, and again, pretty enjoyable being able to run around outside all day for the most part. good luck!

LOL, these are the best kinds of mistakes, ones that only sorta matter, but they matter the most to you. Happens to everyone sometime...well not the sticker thing, I would never do that, but similar stuff I'm sure. Looks nice and shiny though, sweet ride.
