Running a ems-pro. Was wondering how many degrees of timing can I get out of a stock distributor that has been lock down? I know about setting the base timing but how about at high rpm and high boost levels am I going to be able to pull enough timing out before I reach the limit of the rotor button and the cap.

i plan to go fuel only first and later on and the ignition. can a mallory box be used to trigger the ecu?

well guys i just want to say thanks first of all to replying. i have been trying to get my car started again for the last few years and it always seems like some thing comes up. well as far as options the ems-pro seams to have the megasquirt beat (i think). as far as wiring the car up thats not a problem. from what i have read the ems-pro uses meagtune 2.25 is this a good tuning software or does it allow for it to be updated?

Correct. I believe the 1g DSM cars used the same fan motor as sq's.
i have done it all you have to do is swap the pig tail ends. and the fan bolts right up to the starion/conquest fan shroud.

are you still using a treadstone maniflod. i need to make a downpipe for mine. i was wondering if you have any pictures of your downpipe or can you tell me what angles you used for yours.

IMO - Man up and buy a used oil pan, have it modded then installed. Will be much easier than trying to fiddle with rigging something up.
i have one of these manifold and i thought it wasn't that hard. you can pick up a bung for like five dollars. i belieave that there are some bung that you don't need to weld if you don't have access to a welder.

i believe the factory cat are ceramic. i also live in virginia, they don't do emissions but they are supposed to do a visual inspection of emissions parts.

The gold thing in the bottom left of the picture is an injector controller, as megasquirt doesn't rely on the factory ECU for anything you don't have to run the same style or impedance of injector as the OEM stuff.
where can i get one of those.

i'm trying to finish my treadstone install. just want to know what everyone that built there own exhaust, intake, and wastegate pipes used and how many do i need. wheres the best place to buy these pipes too.

talk to a machine shop one i delt with told me of different cranck rod and piston comb that he could make work in our engine

Hose clamp a bolt in a short section of the old drain hose?
Large vacuum cap?
Does the 60-1 hang too low on a different manifold, making you use the oil seperators drain location in the pan?
yes i'm useing treadstone manifold. i welded a -10 male fitting to the oil pan.

the problem is the motors all together and in the car and the time cover thats on there was decked with the block
