Well I had MANY of you guys call or email wanting to buy it but still it sits here but now back I'n my garage engine half out as for those who maybe thought a grand plus atleast 2k I'n aftermarket parts was too much for this quest then I guess some don't know what they claim they do about quest's\starions so I decided to stay here I'n CT a bit longer now too finish what is now my seventh Conquest and going to make sure those no shows soon realize the mistake they made. Also want to thank those who told me not too sell it for that. I know many of you since 2002 and learned alot from many and made some friends along the way so see you at the next big meet with possibly the most soild ORIGINAL quest still on 4 wheels. The header panel is the only dent someone kicked it when I had it all minted out running sweet. Sad to see it go but need to.

1988 Conquest TSI SHPmost solid frame and body I have seen after having 6 throughout the years. Black with Black leather sunroof Upgraded super 16g turbo several minor mods. Turbo has less then 2k car overheated runs but loud knock I'n lower end Car has been Garaged for 3 years just pulled it out last week for pictures. Need to sell asap moving to FL. Well after getting a ton of calls and everyone saying they want the car but then backing down on me for a month Im now just going to keep it as everyone that come down and seen the car said they havent seen one like this that has ZERO rot or even rust on it , not even spots of bondo by the rear quarters or anywhere which shocks me nobody bought it just saying they want it and to hold it for them constantly. Anyway I probably wont find another one later atleast this solid even the frame rails are almost perfect so I pretty much got talked into keeping it and actully starting sanding the car down already. Anyway thanks for those that were interested as I said in my post I needed money last month for many bills and thats the only reason I was selling it ight then and there especially that cheap but made it threw the month and dont HAVE to get rid of it now so I might as well make it the phatest quest I can make it ha Thanks again for all your interest. 109k on it and a metal shim gasket I used on the manifold after getting it resurvaced and the head I believe is also a metal shim. I have alot of paperwork still from all the work done to the car since like 99. Mayne new parts I never even knew till I spent more time looking through the folder were done to the car. If I cant get 2k for this car then first off Im just going to get a rebuilt tranny from somebody I already talked to on here then just keep it. I need the money bad as I have many med bills and even my Cellphone I owe so much there going to shut it down soon so thats why I lowered the price to $2100 but if I do not get a buyer or a deposit for atleast $500.00 to paypal within the next day or two I might as well just let these bills go for another month as this car is a STEAL at that price. I had 6 of these since 17 now 30 and this is the most solid straight strong running SHP I have had. Its a 88 Conquest TSI SHP 109k runs great several upgrades. Automatic ,Black with Black leather, Sunroof, Body is in VERY good shape probably the nicest one I ever had. Does have some small dents/dings here and there, paint is in great shape. 9" Rears 8" front tires in good shape still. NO rot at all under wheelwells VERY little rot ANYWHERE. Inside is in nice shape normal ware on front seats but all in all inside is also nice. Mod's are TEP downpipe, Big 16'G turbo brand new less then 1k on it. Braided new oil turbo line, TEP OVC pipe, brand new battery, new wires and plugs. Have manual boost gauge on it it now but does have a Blitz Electronic boot controler thats half installed, boost gauge. Also Blitz Blow of valve, turbo timer I recently put in and works great. Everything pretty much works such as power anntena, windows, mirors exc. Newer stock head with new exhaust manifold and metal shim gasket. Car runs great and have had no problems running 16 PSI. Ok the bad. Transmission is slipping pretty bad drivable still but probably not for much longer, needs a rebuild or put a 5 speed in as I was. Throttle body gasket is leaking. Heat controls all work but when putting it to vents air only blows out of 2 of them. Ac needs recharge but other then that works. Front air dam is cracked ONLY on the corner, rest is in good condtion. I have all records of what was done to the car from last owner which were several new parts such as new rotors and brakes exc. Im asking $2500 as I know I can get that or more on ebay but being a member of this board for 6 years figured would give you guys the first look. Being as nice and strong runing car that needs pretty much nothing but a tranny rebuild I think is a very fare price for it otherwise I will just put a 5 speed in myself and keep it. Was driving it daily until tranny got too bad. Have many pictures of it I can email to anyone thats interested. Car I know will sell quick after actully seing it in person so act fast before I change my mind and put a 5 speed in it and keep it. My tranny is shot in my 88 quest and in need of another. Must be low miles or a rebuilt with no problems at all. Also can use the Downshit seloined and kick down relay, overdrive switch, not overdrive relay though just got a new one. So Im in need of just about everything needed to just bolt in. Thanks. I put in 7 liters which I believe the book said 7.2

How much tranny fluid should be in a automatic 88 TSI? I put in what was called for but when checking the fluid when car is running on the dipstick it shows allmost twice as much that is suppose to be in there. Also even floored in any gear it will not downshift anymore. L gear now is completly locked up like it was in park or something. thanks Rich

Lately my quest will not go into overdrive. It worked perfectly everytime I hit the button for weeks but now the past few days it seems to only go on if the voltage is high (as I put a new battery in but stock coil) or running it when the engine is still cold then it also will work until I shut off the overdrive again then the button on the shifter is just that a useles button.. Im thinking more of an electrical problem not sure. Also I have some R12 to charge the AC. Now I have no gauges to check which nipple on the AC compressor is the inlet. If looking straight at the front is it the one on my far fight? Im guessing its that one but dont want to add any until I know for sure as I never had a conquest that I cared about using the AC so dont know jack about it. Also no matter what setting I have the temp control on its not coming out of the vents only the floor. Is there a vacum line that maybe I dont have hooked right that opens the doors to change the air blowing from the floor to vents? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Rich

How many rpms do you guys run your car at idle? I put it up a bit to about 1000rpms and it seems to run really well. I forgot what its suppose to be at. Thanks Rich

210* passanger side sensor with a 180* sensor Yes I think thats what Im going to do as thats the first thing I thought of. Even went to Napa over here they have a lady working that has no clue about anythinh. I litterlly walked around the conter to ficnd Conquest-Starion. She said its not in stock so I guess I will order it unless somebody has a used one for me. Thank You Rich
