Is there someone near Jacksonville florida that has a starquest part out, right now I need a front inner bumper and will be willing to pick it up if close enough & is in good condition also I need a cruise control actuator w/ cable and a accelerator pedal arm and assembly, also looking for driver side visor with vanity light and mirror in burgundy/maroon Thanks n advance

I've seen 3 conquests @ this shop, so I feel good that they will do me right with engine & mpi install, and actually the owner had a shetland quest that he sold for about $25G back in the day, and he suggested that I go with a fuel management system as he was familiar with the tbi drawback

well, as far as using TEP I am in a bind, because they have started on the motor and the mpi conversion so basically I will have to keep my fingers crossed. I have ordered the mookee rear struts and the tokico front struts, its kinda funny that on set is red and the other blue, I may have to do some spray painting. I want to order some coilovers for them and was wondering if cosmo coilovers r any good or do I need to go with ground control, the difference in price is about $150 but if the cosmo's are not worth buying I will spend the extra. Also have ordered the cx racing aluminum radiator with the fans, does anyone know if the temp sensors will have to be tapped in, could not tell from pics. well that's it for today, just gathering a lot of stuff so I can put it altogether at one time. Oh almost forgot, can someone explain to me the use of the camber plates and if I should bye them for the coilover mod. Thanks in advance for your help and any ideas as to how I can make this project a success would be really appreciated

Hello again fellow starquesters, I have a major project on my hands, for me at least, because reading the forum plenty of u guys have done far more involved projects than what I am doing, but alas this project for me will be a bucket list scratch off. I say that because like many of u I am fond of this car and it has stood the test of time. I have begun this project with a limited knowledge of the existence of this type of help group forum, so a lot of resources have been put in motion. I have stated in the newbie section that I am having the motor rebuilt be TEP. A race prepped engine capable of 400hp plus. I am also having TEP convert my tbi intake into a mpi intake. I felt like the info on the drawback of the tbi was too much of a risk to keep with the type of performance i want to get from car. Which brings me to my 1st question. Is having a methanol injection system overkill... The engine/fuel management will be done with haltech sprint 500. Which brings me to question#2, is the haltech easy to tune. .. I'm going to get a t3/t4 hybrid turbo to replace stock turbo, which brings me to question#3, what is the best type of boost control to get, manual or electronic. ... Well I have laid out basic plan for under the hood mods. I still have the suspension mods that I am gathering. Already have st anti-sway bars, new rotors, calipers. And in the process of collecting the various bushings that need replacing. I will have to figure out how to get the pics uploaded so I can keep u all updated on the progress. The 2 things I need r, a accelerator arm and assembly, and the ever elusive 83 scooped hood. BTW my conquest is white with the maroon interior, so looking for the steering wheel with radio controls and the turn signal handle. OK that's it for now, will be posting again soon.....

Hello all, I am restoring the conquest I have owned since '92. It's been sitting in my garage since '04 and last year I took it to a shop were I saw a starquest being restored and I got all giddy. Well I took it to him but he didn't seem to want to delve into it, so it sat for several months, so I wandered way the deal, he told me he looked into it and determined I needed a lot of work done. It would cost mucho-denaro to get it back up to snuff and he didn't have the time and me the money to do it up just right. So I started researching and found out he was right, if I wanted it faster, stronger, better than before I had to put my own time in on it. So here I am. I have had him pull the motor and TEP is building me a race prepped engine, converting the intake tbi to mpi using haltech management and getting a t3/t4 hybrid turbo, I have to upgrade radiator, suspension, etc etc etc not to mention the bodywork ahead, but hey as they say "I'm all in" and looking forward to the journey, and hopefully I will be @ the next starquest get together. Well that is it for now except I will be around looking for parts answers and a '83 scooped hood
