  1. I love the white.. its only 2nd to Fiji or Midnight (89 Starion only?) blue on these cars IMO!!!
  2. Well I am not solid in my knowledge of the Conquest market (I will admit it) but I do know the bike market very well right now. The KTM is worth $3000-3200 for sure with the upgrades that it has (unlike car upgrades these do add significant value.. you could take the tank off right now and sell it for $200+) Actually I just saw 2 sell last week for $2800-$3000 that werent as nice. I had listed $3400 in the original add that I copied so that I would leave some room for haggling. Thats just the way that some people like to do business! That being said I would like to get pics and details on your car so we can discuss it... We might be able to work something out Please email me at xerxestoos@aol.com or call me at 828-505-9897 Joseph
  3. Anyone here interested in Motorcycles? I have a very nice 99 KTM LC4E and I am looking to get back into a Conquest TSI. I might end up keeping it and buying a car outright, but I figured I would at least hear offers while I was shopping! This bike has 26k miles (almost all commuting) and a few extras as well. I have a full set of (street) racing leathers ($800) as well as a waterproof/winter outfit including a $300 textile jacket that I discolored trying to wash it.. Boots/gloves come with both suits, and I have a Scorpion EXO 700 Kevlar full face helmet as well. Everything you need to get started with the sport... I really love this bike, but I need a cage, and I really miss the Conquest I had a few years ago in highschool!! I would be willing to ride this thing to you if you are on this side of the US (it would have to be a nice car.. lol) but I would have to ship you the rest of the extras. Anywhere here is a copy of the add I have for the bike.. Email me at xerxestoos@aol.com for fastest response! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This machine is so nice that I will truley regret selling her.. Its a 1999 LC4E enduro model with 26,XXX miles. From what I can tell she has been serviced well throughout her lifetime, but the main bearing has not been upgraded yet. Runs flawlessly with no issues.. She isnt a cherry, but she is pretty clean with no real damage to speak of (it is a dirt bike after all). Tires are almost new, and the oil was changed about 1500 miles ago. Valves were checked earlier this year with no adjustments needed. The lightbulb that backlights the speedo did stop working a few weeks ago.. Oh and the left hand mirror is not staying in adjustment, but that should be a very simple fix (just started yesterday and I havent had time to mess with it) Those are about the only things I know of that could be fixed right now unless you wanted to upgrade the mainshaft bearing. If I get my asking price then I will include a KTM hardparts tank bag, and possibly some riding gear if you need it. I will also leave the 18L tank and Meyer seat on the bike. This machine will make a wonderful dualsport or supermoto if you dont mind a little vibration. Lots of fun in the twisties as well!!! I dont really want to sell it, but I found a great deal on a car that I really want, so I decided to list it here and see if anyone is interested. If you want to see it today I might be travelling to the Knoxville area sometime in the afternoon.. give me a call at 828-505-9897 Here are a few things you may to know: -Previous owner slid the forks down an inch or so to lower the seat height.. The suspension seems kindof soft to unless you are a lightweight like myself (150lbs). The seat height on these bikes is pretty tall (about the same as most dirtbikes) -Meyer custom seat added (probably to reduce the seat height) -Includes a KTM 18L (4.6gal-ish) upgraded fuel tank -Stock Mikuni BST carb (these didnt come with the FCR, but the BST carb gets better gas mileage, and it handles elevation changes VERY well.. easy to adjust.. 50mpg+) -Main shaft bearing may not have been upgraded (sorry I dont have any documentation). KTM advised owners of this generation bike to upgrade to the 2003+ roller bearing because it was a more solid design. This isnt a neccessary modification, but it does buy you some peace of mind. Its an $85 part plus labor... Could have already been done? Either way 26k miles with no failure is a good sign! -Current tires are street tires (not dualsport) -These bikes vibrate quite a bit, but they are one of the most powerful and well built machines of their time. If you plan on dualsporting then it shouldnt be an issue at all. I have been commuting on it for the last few weeks, and I have nothing but love for this wonderful bike! -For 1999 the LC4e used 50mm WP extreme forks. They are very solid offroad forks that are not USD. Some newer LC4 owners actually convert their bikes suspension to this because they are a little lighter and very durable for offroad riding. I havent been able to offroad this bike at all (just commuting and occassional gravel/fire roads) but these LC4s are supposed to be very good bikes for that type of riding. The way the suspension/brakes feel I have no doubts about that. -KTM skidplate added -Fully street legal with clear title -This bike shares an engine with the 625 SXC / 640 ADV / 625 SMC / Duke and a couple of others.. The differences lie in things such as the gas tank and subframes. This bike sits right inbetween the 625 (offroad only) and the 640 ADV in terms of the utility and streetablity. I like the extra features that it carries over the 625 for street riding, and its almost the same weight. The 625 pipe is a little lighter, but an aftermarket exhaust would make a great solution for that =P The tank range isnt nearly as big as the adventure, but its a much better bike in tight woods!!! I cant think of anything else to say about it right now.. There are plenty of great resources online for information on these bikes, but feel free to PM me any specific questions and I will do the best I can to help you get answers!! Location: Cullowhee, NC 28723 Price: $3400
