Most likely slave, but can't rule out master either. Then there's always the possibility of a line leak (usually at a connection). Look under the car and see if you have any dripping, then translate the location up from the drip. Wherever it is, it won't get better until you replace whatever component is losing fluid.

AutoMeter is tried and true. I've used them on three cars now. I run the cobalt series in my Starion. I go electronic or mechanical depending on which gauge it is.
