This is for my friend with 2 starions. 1 is full gutted race project and he has megasquirt for it already, the other is an 88 automatic tsi that's his nearly stock DD. we've had good success with Maf translators in 2 of my cars and he had a 1st ver in his "race car" with 3" gm maf.

we thought the "hinges" being made of plastic will eventually fail like yours did so we were thinking of really small brass or stainless piano hinges. just gotta re-rivet them, simple .

yes, they are authentic Kobels circa 1985 ish. we just finished re-fabbing the hinges and its completely mounted on my friend's 87 Tsi refresh my last post and dig on all the pictures

Got our louvers yesterday..... Awesome to see the original box in very good shape..... Louvers were well wrapped and totally unharmed in transit..... We did encounter 1 major design flaw though...... The brackets are off by 1/2". They make the louvers sit way down on top of the rear spoiler area. We are re-fabbing them right now.... OK, fixed the hinges . the first 3 pictures are AFTER . The 4th and 5th pictures are BEFORE. This is not a knock against the seller, and maybe it was our pair of hinges, who knows.... Still a great deal for a brand new old stock set of louvers. they're black leather but driver's seat is powered..... Just gotta fab 2 rear brackets then might paint them to match with SEM leather coating.

yes, that's what I read about the royal purple lube.... It has the additive, lasts like 50k miles and I see a lot of fellow members on here swear by it..... I'll get a case from egay cause I'm upgrading 2 Mighty Max rear ends with Power Brute LOM83 LSDs. Thanks!
