  4. what do you need? i have a stock fuel rail, fuel press reg, secondary injector, throttle body setup TPS and maf, all off an 87
  5. bad news but NOT the end of this! my fuel rail won't stop leaking...soo I'm junking this entire manifold / fuel rail attempt. because well it looks like s*** and now i'm trying something new. I'm going to build an entire new manifold, not using any of the stock manifold, proper placement of the injectors ect... will take some time to complete but I found some great material and guide on this, and will be welding it all at the shop free. The only issue I have is figuring out how to build the damn thermo housing, but I will figure it out. question though, does it matter if the thermostat is like this : I or like this : ---- ? like can it be sideways and be fine?

  9. can we use or stock 1 wire exhaust o2 sensor?? with ms1 also from the diagram on megamanual, it is showing wiring for only 4 injectors..don't see 8 injectors set up. ok nevermind, just saw how to set it up

  12. Also I dont see anywhere in megasquirt where I can control my injectors more, what I was trying for was 4 on initially and 4 extra on while boost is applied .. but I dont see any such options. also fixed my req fuel issue.
  13. Picked up the throttle body today,injector clips and fuel pressure reg! everything is getting close to complete! I'm putting it all back together now! just need to wire up megasquirt! and for my other post, I fixed my req fuel percentages and whatever for the injectors. now I just need some help with wiring! I dont have any info on what pin is what on megasquirt...umm how to keep the stock spark and distrib and what goes where on the tps! my tps has 3 wires aswell but I dont know what goes where or..??

  15. neither, i didn't jb welb the injector to the manifold or jb weld the injector bungs. jb welding the actual injectors to the manifold is freaking crazy.. how would I ever get the injector off. that stuff on there was just some silicone to hold them in the spot * temporarily * so I could work up the fuel rail. I just didn't clean it all up yet and I haven't done the bungs. also I did the soldering Prior to the jb weld, the solder is under, I just put the jb weld on top for strength.
  16. OK not sure if my map is 115 or not. I just ordered that package deal unassembled from diyautotune.com Ok, im a little confused about using the stock distrib and everything without the knock sensor and stuff. lets say this : If I removed ALL factory wiring, sensors, ecu, the entire harness, removed the knock box just everything ( except head lights and that stuff ) All wiring removed, I have the distributor with it's connector and coil. now what? i'm pretty sure the distrib plug goes to the knock box.. i think.. and ..well now i'm just confused again injector size is 460cc 8 of em and injector opening time is 1.2 ms. I went with the 2.2 because it was cheaper. ok just checked my map sensor is 250kpa

No, I actually didn't know that,As for the rails, I didn't weld them it was just too small, but I did solder them with a tin based solder and put JB weld Around that just for added strength. so it isn't purely jb weld. anyway the fuel rail is finished and up! pics.   18. OK first off, I did search around, read through the stickies, which weren't a whole lot of help. I have megasquirt 1 v2.2 fuel only. I am running 8 injectors 2 per cyl. on the constants table in megasquirt for required fuel, I used the calculator and plugged everything in, and my required fuel is only 0.2? doesn't seem right. They are high imp, I plugged all the stuff in for high imp that I got from the tuning info online. also would i need barometric correction ON because i'm @ 6k elevation? what is this used for ? I have the 115kpa map. I'm trying to eliminate the ecu and all the wiring possible. Also What can I do for spark control, I want to keep the stock distributor. I read megasquirt can't get a signal for engine rpm through this? I can't just hook it up to the neg coil wire? If It can, how do I wire up the stock knock box ect? in one of the stickies, the the diodes were soldered together for the tach signal, this is for what? using the stock tachometer or to get the signal from the knock box / distrib?
  19. actually, Already have a wideband that I bought a while ago for my previous car. and as for the copper, the pipe I bought is a copper alloy, not pure copper so it does make a difference, it is a copper nickel iron alloy. also check again i paid 20 dollars for all 8 injectors. so far first part of the fuel rail is being finished, check the pic of how the injectors are set up, i will make the rail in a U shape to fuel all injectors from a single rail. also got my megasquirt done today! soldered and ready to go. took about 4 hours ! not too bad i think. was alot easier then I expected. as for sensors, already have all needed. have throttle body w/ tps, coolant temp sensor and guage, oil pressure sensor and guage, boost ect..   22. hey just a heads up, letting your car guage get all the way to the H is really bad because if i'm not mistaken that is 250+ degrees F and if it continuously does overheat, you will get some serious head warpage. so in the future, i dont reccomend even driving it if it goes abov half the guage.
