  1. that would kinda make sense i guess. but why would it run like s*** when it starts up, then run a little better, but not much? and cause fuel cut? it just doesnt run the same as it has. it feels weak. im worried its just gunna go on me one of these days. and i need it for work. soo i need help asap. lol Also, does anyone have any insight as to what i can use to get the bottom screw on the distributor cap out? and when i order injectors, which do i get? im gunna get both the injectors and the clips from ebay unless someone has a better place to buy them.
  2. I have those plugs. hah. a whole box of em. but my turbo still works alright. i still hit boost pretty well. i havent checked the shaft play or anything, but i will. It does smoke like a chimney every once in a while and i have been running hot lately. ill check the cat soon and probly just gut it. ive wanted to for a while so might as well. im just really hoping the injectors and clips will help alot. idk. im sick of this damn car. lol anyone have a cheap rebuilt turbo they wanna sell me? hah
  3. well i was gunna get injector clips as well. but i really think my injectors are going. ill probly just order both. anyone think it might be the plugs?

Soo recently my quest has been running like complete s***. when i start it up, i have to wait like 10 minutes for it to run right. it misfires, bad, shakes, sounds like its running on 2 cylinders almost. the misfiring has gotten bad recently. it does it in low rpm's, and when im just cruising. under acceleration its not tooo bad once its warmed up. if i try and drive it before its warmed up, it runs terrrbile. sounds like its on 2 cylinders, no power at all. just terrible. it also hits fuel cut occasionally. if im in second gear and give it a little gas, it feels like it hits a wall, even chirps the tires a little bit. which come to think of it, really confuses me... Im ordering new injectors tonight. this will help my bad start up alot. thats why im ordering them. (my car cranks over foreverrr beofrre it starts). do you think this will help my problem a little bit? i know there is more stuff wrong, but im already doing the injectors ya know. Currently i nkow i need to rebuild the turbo. but that wouldnt make it run that bad i dont think. I have a brand new distributerm, but i cant put it on because the bottom screw on my old distributer is stripped and i cant get it off.. anyone know how i can do that? lol sorry for the long post, but i figured id give as much info as i could to try and figure out the problem. thanks in advance

  6. yeah see thats what i figured. but which hoses do i need to replace? and also, i noticed only one of my fans kick on, not both. what do i do about that?

Soo my quest has been running really hot lately. it drinks coolant. ill fill up the tank halfway like you should and the radiator to the right level and it seems like the coolant just dissapears. even when im driving it, it heats up opretty quick. the needle will be over the halfway mark up in like 20 mimnutes of street driving. The other day, i filled the coolant up like usual, and when i got home from driving for about 20 mintues i heard this hissing sound after i shut the car off. i popped the hood and there was coolant everyyywhere. i couldnt figure out where it came from though. it hasnt done it since though. idk if i jus tput too much coolant in the radiator or what, but even then, it wouldnt just piss out. idk what to do. im just sick of having this problem, soo can someone please help me!

  10. hmm. never woulda thought it would be the radiator cap. Can i just get any cap? or does it have to be special for my car? just checked the coolant tank. not its like damn near empty... im sooo confused
  11. Soo yesterday i filled the coolant tank (not the radiator) up halfway to the full line like your suposed to. i also filled the radiator to the right amount. About an hour ago, i got gas and noticed i was leaking coolant.. I popped the hood and checked the tank and it is full... like soo full that it is leaking out of the hose that comes out of it. thats why there was coolant on the ground. I didnt overheat, i didnt rod the s*** out of it, i was just driving normally. My best guess is that the hose is clogged or something, but even then, it wouldnt fill the tank up ya know. Soo does anybody have any ideas? my car does drink coolant. i have to fill that tank about once a week. but usually its empty, not full..
  12. Im pretty sure those rims are MB Battles. alot of 240 guys run them. not sure on the offset, but they usually only come in 9.5 in. no wider, that ive seen at least..
  13. well my oil level is good, my oil pressure has been better, but my lifters still make noise. Lance, ill call you tomorow if that works for you. i have to work all day today so i wont have time to do anything today.
  14. ok well i checked my oil about 3 days ago and it was low. so i put another quart in and it said it was full. the lifters are still making noise. ill check the oil again tomorow, but my oil pressure has been getting better. its a little over halfway up almost all the time now. But the lifters are still amking noise. The lifters are right under the valve cover when you take the valve cover off, right?
  15. well idk what to de really. its stil really low most of the time. sometimes its a little under half, but most of the time its really low. i appreciate the post Indiana, but i dont really understand what your saying. lol. my lifters are makin noise hardcore now. they have been for a little while, but theyre getting worse now. my engine sounds like a damn deisel almost. Idk what to do with those. can i just buy a new set? and what do i do about the low oil pressure?
  16. soo its 1:45am. i start my car, rough like always. while im driving, the lifters are ticking away and the car runs like s*** basically. i have let it warm up a little before driving. I notice that my Oil pressure gauge is fluctuating from like almost the bottom of the gauge, to a little below the middle. It is higher while driving, but when i say higher i mean a little elow the middle, and goes to almost 0 when i stop. Any ideas? idk what causes low oil pressure, but i know for a fact that its not good for the motor. would the bad lifters cause it maybe? idk. sorry for the kindof wierd post, but like i said, its 2am and im worried about it. im gunna do some work to the car tomorow and maybe order some parts, so if anyone wants to tell me what i need, that would be great. i know i need lifters, injectors, well injector clips at least, and some other s***. thanks for any input that i get
  17. my drivers side has the same issue. you have to find the sweet spot on the switch to make it go up. Its a real pita, but it works. one of those problems ill probly just never figure out. lol
  18. well i read that thing that dmyers posted and it looks pretty tough. would i be better off just buying a new 12a? or should i just bite the bullet and do the 16g swap and doing all the fuel upgrades?
  19. Soo my 12a leaks like a siv sometimes. if i dont drive the car for a while, it will smoke like crazy when i start it up. theres smoke coming right from the turbo seal and out the exhaust. I know i need to rebuild it, but my question is what kit do i use? Ive looked them up on ebay, but theyre all for like toyotas and stuff. Can anyone point me in the right direction as to what to use? Also, how hard is it to rebuild it? Is it a pretty big job? or can i knock it out in a few hours? thanks

  22. terminals are fine. no discoloration, no corosion. nothing. im just stumped because it just straight up died on me. like out of the blue. idk. Lance_S is coming over tomorow to check it out. soo we will see what he says, hopefully i can just take a look at his setup and see if mine a jank or not.
  23. ohh. lol. my bad. volts are 12.5 at the battery terminals. now what? Im assuming that means there is a short somewhere. i just cant find it
  24. ok so with the multimeter set on ohms, i get a reading of 0.00 at the terminals. when i first read it, i got a reading of 10.0 for a second, then it went to zero. What does this mean? My battery cant be dead. I mean the battery wouldnt just die all of a suidden ya know. Anyone have any ideas?
