Ohhh. Ok. That makes sense. If I'm reading 10* advance, would I only have to bring it back one tooth? And how will I know if I'm pishong on the tensioner? Will the chain gain slack right when I push down on it?

Thanks for the explanation, but I'm confused... if I push down in the timing chain tensioner, wouldn't that make the timing chain even more tight? Making it even harder to list it up and move the gear? Or am I not understanding how the tensioner works?

Soo I put my new head on last week. Got everything put back together. Put the cam at tdc and looked at the little mark under the timing guide ans the mark is at 10* advanced... Im assuming this means i hve to take the cam gear off ans turn it back 1 tooth. My only problem is idk how to get the cam gear off. I tried just pulling up on the chain and turning it back, but you cant lift the chain high enough. Soo my question is, first off, is that evwn what i have to do is just turn the cam gear back? And second, how do i go about doing that? I have the head already torqued down and id really rather not have to take it off again. Im assuming i have to take off that little thing that the cam gear sits on(the thing under the gear. Idk what its called). But idk. Thanks in advance for any help

Well your gunna want to run ngk bur7ea11's. Not the ones you have. But Idk if that would all of a sudden cause it to lose power.. someone else will chime in I'm sure but that's just my 2 cents.

I neeeeed an oil feed line. mine broke and none of the parts stores around me have one. No one has the fittings. Soo i either need the part number for it, or if someone has one they want to sell me that would be great. its for the 12a btw.

There is already the bung in the dp, but my o2 wont screw into it because of the bracket on my o2. I guess I didnt realize there are universal o2 sensors. Thanks guys

Soo I now have a *DM downpipe but the stock o2 sensor. There is that bracket on the stock o2 so you can mount it to the cat, but I need to screw the o2 into my downpipe.. Is there any way to get that bracket off? And if so, is there any trick to doing it? Cus I can't get it. Lol Thanks for any help.

Sooo I want too take out my ac. I have the belt already off and the compressor unbolted. My question is do I need some special ac delete kit? Or can I just yank that s*** outa there?

I have a gasket set.. Maybe I have it and didn't realize it. Lol. I'll check when I get out of work. Is it part of the valve cover gasket?

I need that little half circle rubber seal the goes in between the the valve cover and the head in the front of the engine. Not the cam cap, but the one in the front of the engine. I tired the auto parts store and they're looking, but I'm not confident they will find it. Someone help me out! Thanks

Im finishing up my headgasket change and i need to do some timing. but my only problem is i have no idea how.. ive been reading that thread started a few days ago about the timing and valves and what not, but didnt really find what i was looking for. Basically, how do i do the timing? i know it has to be at TDC and what not, but idk what to do with the cam.. sorry for the vague and big question. but i just need some help with it and i dont really have anyone that can help me with it. I do have Lance_S's help, but i dont remember if he told me he knows how to or not. thanks yall wowww, idk why i posted this in the parts for sale forum.. lol. didnt realize i was in here. someone move this please!

well i ordered the pcv hose an the coolant hose that i cut a little bit ago from Randy. now all i have to do is wait for my boost controller and egr block of plate. im gunna search for any other hoses i need and hopefully be able to get them at advanced auto. thanks for the help. hah
