when i bought this car, because i wanted one when i was younger, I didnt occur to me that i would constantly be working on something. Having never owned a turbo vehicle before, I really am not that imformed on how they operate. This is an 86 quest, all pretty much stock, and i actually have it to the point where its running pretty good. I have done complete tune up and changed the ignighter and waterpump. It also has a new clutch, intake manifold gasket and a rebuilt throttle body (previous owner). I didnt really notice this before because i hadnt pushed the car at all (car runs great when just driving around normally) when i rev this out it gets right on it to about 4000rpm and then boggs around a little, does not feel at all healthy for the car. the turbo climbs nicely to 7psi, but when its maxed for a second or 2 the car starts to lose. it does not seem that this car has been messed with much. No mods (except for the air can hole). Is this a timing issue or something with the turbo maybe. like i say completely new to turbos. Thanx at all and I cannot say enough good things about this site.
