If my timing is off should I go and buy a new timing kit? Or just work with what I have? Also if if I have to go buy a new one where's the best place to get one and where can I buy gaskets for my 87 quest? also I think my throttle body might be leaking a little fuel, does anyone know if it's just a gasket or could it be my injectors? Please help thank you

I'm not doubting you but why would a positive wire work as a ground? And it's from the igtnition coil, scratching my head lol

does anyone know where the positive wire from the ignition coil goes to? from the ignition coil its a blue wire and then it connects to a little black box and from there its a black wire with a clip. i accidently pulled the clip and i dont know where it was connceted to? if anyone knows what im talking about please help thank you

He rebuilt the motor because of the miles on it, the engine runs strong but when I'm idling it shake a little side to side and causes the exhaust tip to hit the bumper a little but there's no popping

I already switched out the spark plugs and wires, as for the vibrating/shaking feeling it just shakes a little for side to side, could it be that the timing if off?

I got a 87 TSI and the previous owner told me he had just rebuild the engine, I towed the car home because it didn't have tags, once I got home I started it up and i notice the engine vibrates when it idels, i don't know if it's the motor mounts that are shot or if could be something else plus when i start it up in the morning the rpm drops below 1,000 when warming up but they go up a little past 1,000 once I step on the throttle just a little bit

hello SQC family, well the other day i was driving my 87 quest n out of no where it died out on me so i tried to put my hazards but they wouldn't work so i tried to start it up again and it started but right away it would die, so i pushed the car over to the side of the road and the gas pedal was stuck so i tried once more to start it up again and it stayed on but the gas pedal was stuck all the way back but the car would not accelerate, i don't really know where to start but i would love to see this car back on the road again if anyone can help me out
