you cut the top hat behind where the factory reg is and thread the hole screw in a brass fitting then a line that goes to the regulator i have some saved pics if you need them

i dont think you can put a 1g mass on an 86

did you do the tps isc reset also the 86 does not have the base idle screw that 87-89 have but it does have a little screw on the firewall side of the throttle body linkage you have to adjust once you are doing the reset sounds like this might be your problem i could email you the reset procedure if you need it just pm me your email if you need it

yes they screw in from behind you have to remove the entire console to get it out are you using the stock junk radio?

i have a tank it has some surface rust on outside not bad i will pull the sending unit and look inside for you im located in new jersey near exit 11 on nj turnpike

www.rockauto.com look under 1988 starion most of the parts are listed there . 1986 through 1989 are mostly the same on most parts they have the trans mount i got one from them

i bought a set off ebay from a company in canada they are drilled and slotted zinc plated all four cost 150.00 shipped to my door they have been on the car for 1 year now and about 2000 hard miles with semi metallic wagner pads and they are great ! as far as them cracking i never knew anyone who had a rotor crack that was drilled that is why there are limits as thin as you can cut them never go beyond that thats just dumb !

in case you didnt know there is a tsb on the brake res cap and diaphram they are no good ! you need to buy the new design from mitsibshi dealer . brake fluid absorbs moisture from the air the original one allows this to happen so if you put one on from another car thats not the new one you are back to square one !
