  1. So I checked everything out and even changed the TPS still doing the same thing. I checked all the grounds and there clean good and tight. Also checked the Injectors for good connections looks good. Any other things I should check? has anyone ran into this problem before? Maybe fuel? I can test that I guess to make sure its getting good PSI.
  2. The heart of my rig is all starion and thats why im here This set up i have should have been done from the factory but then again it wouldnt be as rare now would it...
  3. I will check them as well It also does it more when its cold. If I remember im around 2700 RPM at 65-70 MPH in OD Due to the lower gears and 4x4 in my montero. P.S whats a god way to clean the injectors? Any good stuff out there to use?
  4. Ok sounds good I will try that tonight after work. It just started out of the blue kinda wierd. I was hoping it wasnt computer related.
  5. Not sure whats going on but my motor stated to have coughs on acceleration or Highway speeds around 65MPH What should I check? My timming is right on everything seems to be in order from what I can see. Possable fuel filter maybe?
  6. Anyone have a trick I can try???
  7. I think there 4.86 or something like that, I do have overdrive and RPMS are around 2500 at 70MPH which I thinks ok. I do notice some black soot around the tip no smoke or anything but you can tell the cat is working over time. Is there an ajustment I can try? Even under boot its rich and should lean out but not in this case.
  8. By the way its the starion 2.6 if you didnt read my signiture.
  9. Went on a camping trip this last weekend and didnt get real good MPH. I have a Air/Fuel meter and it showed one mark into the rich side all the way there. When I got home I got a new O2 for starters but it pretty much reads the same. Is there an asjustment I can do to lean her out a little?
  10. Just sold it. Thanks Guys for your intrest.
  11. Yep the heart of my monty is the starion 2.6 the motors just swap in. I love going wheen and seeing people hear the famous woosh and there like wt........ that has a turbo...yeah gotta love it. Nothing like 4 wheel burn outs!
  12. NO shafy play No oil burning and is in really good shape, Just so everyone knows the turbo has a two bolt flange with an adapter I made to hook up the I/C hose. I do have the stock Actuator for it also or you can use yours. I have to keep my stock one for my set up. I will see if I can fide my post on here that has resent pictures of the turbo install.
  13. Yep I had the Hot side machined to fit the turbine.
  14. I have a JDM 16G turbo with modified stock hot side so it will bolt right up. The turbo has about 1000 miles on it. I went back to stock because I get more low end and is needed for a 4x4. 175+Shipping I will post pics of it this weekend.
  15. I would think so if your going to have a 75/95 AMP sonata case to swap with the 110AMP sonata case should be the same. I would get both from a junk yard before spending any real money on a new one though.. I have had mine installed for almost a week now and everything is doing good. Im running 6 Offroad lights, CB Radio, Power inverter, stereo system with no problems.
  16. Well its all right there.. Too me Getting a longer bolt the "spacer in hand" By the way sence where in the mod section I figure people can be creative on what they use. and a 1 inch longer belt. Not much in mods there... But ok.
  17. Yes I did mine this last weekend. took about 45Min if you pull the AC. I understand what your saying but A Longer belt and Bolt isnt much to get while your on your way back from the Yard/Auto parts shop. As for the spacer 3/4 is about what you need to snug stuff up. As for the clocked tab its only 1/2 inch diffrence there for needing a longer belt to pull it away from the block. It takes about the same time as a stock one.
  18. I have the Starion/Conquest motor installed in my 87 Montero 4x4. The install is the same as yours Check my link for pictures there worth a thousand words... http://thestarquestclub.com/forums/t214/
  19. Yes it is a bolt on for sure, The 95 Sonata came with two types a 75AMP and 90AMP Like this link. There is MD#'S and I think that is there Cross Reference. Look on page 169 in the PDF its on the right hand side. http://www.autozone.com/autozone/parts/1995-Hyundai-Sonata/Alternator/_/N-j1ipdZ9ridy
  20. Hello everyone I found that a 95 Sonata 2.0 has a 90AMP Alternator "Thats a Mitsubishi unit by the way" Bolts up and plugs right in just swap over your pully and your done! Also I have a PDF File of Alternators and Starters where I found the info. There is pic's of it installed as well Hope this info helps you guys out.
