I realize its going to be a hard act to follow, I know I'll be back in the quest scene at a more appropriate time though. I would like to see this one go to a good home... I'll have to keep the number of whoever buys it so I can buy it back in the future.

I really don't want to sell this but I bought it at the wrong time in my life. I bought it in Connecticut last year for 5,000.00 Some of you may have seen this on ebay... not a whole lot of interest on there right now though. 123K miles on it... doesn't look like it though. The car runs strong, turbo spools, no leaks. RUST Free. Not winter driven. The interior is very clean... some of the usual wear on the side of the driver seat. Original floor mats. Still has original back hatch cover and sun roof cover!! ower antenna still works! Car also comes with all the wiring ready to go for a sub and amp. Spare still new with original yokohama tire still equipt. The SHP wheels are very sharp. The front tires are TOYO with a good amount of tread still left. The rear tires are brand new Yokohama AVS-100 which have a very nice sporty tread that grips the road really well. Front air dam intact! Original Paint! To make the exterior show worthy there are some minor door dings that could be paintless dent repaired and some small sand chips in the front that could be touched up. Some extras that are included with the car: an extra set of conquest wheels (non shp) - get them powder coated black and keep the original shp wheels nice! Also comes with extra tail light, oil filter and oil, back hatch carpet, electrical service manual, and original owner's manual. Stance on drug war... Well so far we have just been talking about the legalization of marijuana which is generally the main source of the drug problem. I have been very disturbed about this issue in the past couple months. My stance is that marijuana should be legal and that there should be an effort to control drugs that are actually harmful. Americans have been lied to about marijuana since day one... and I'm sure everyone already knows this, so I don't want to go on a rant about the huge misconception that most people have about the plant. I get sick and tired of this gateway drug nonsense and the term "pot head" is very disturbing. There is a difference between people that have knowledge of the difference between actually harmful drugs and marijuana. Someone may use marijuana but with proper understanding they aren't going to have any desire to use other drugs. Lazy people are lazy regardless of marijuana... its the character of the person that defines them, I know plenty of lazy people that don't even know what marijuana looks like.

Those cars remind me of the dusty and abandoned Aston Martin Vanquish my cousin I saw in the parking garage at his apartment... never moved anywhere just sat there covered in dust. But hey the dust will protect the paint! just as long as nobody rubs up against the car!

not sure why you did that unless it was really really rotted... someone on here today just posted they needed front fender etc. etc.

If our cars are so rare why I tend to think they would have a stronger market... perhaps people just don't have the knowledge of what they are.. or have ever even seen one! Liking that Figi Shp!! Is the maroon a very rare color?

No it isn't the t-top version... The interior is black cloth seats that came with the shelby versions. Sorry I don't have any interior pictures at the moment. I'll try to snap a couple soon and post them up.

Does anyone have any production numbers on these things? I was just wondering how rare our cars are... and why doesn't the market seem to be stronger than what it is? Yesh its a five speed! 1,500$ would probably take it off my hands. someone could have another 500 put in and have a ice cold ac blowing reliable daily driver.

Indeed quite up along side the quests as far as rarity goes... where I live.. this was the only shelby daytona on the roads.. same goes for my black 89 shp quest!

The one for the top of the turbo is what i need most... but I'm in the market to my the complete set of heat shields...

Here is my 1991 Shelby Daytona! 2.5L Turbo The good: absolutely 0 rust!! - Never seen snow or much rain. Interior is in very nice shape! Bad: needs a head... 0 compression in cylinders 1 + 2... can get a new one for about 300. paint isn't the greatest... to make this car show ready.. you'd need to replace the head... do a little straightening, repaint the car... and you'd be all set! Someone should shoot me an offer! this a rare car you won't see everyday. I'm not going to crush it or anything... going to save it myself if I ever get the funds... Let me know what you think! Anyone got the tire size I need for rear wheels (shp) Any suggestions on what brand/type to get?

when I was up there the erie local... seemed to look at my car with a "what the heck is that!?" sorta look. lol I'll have to drive up the road then and see if I can find some quest droppings.. then beat on your door show ya mine. hah Anyone else know anyone starquests in the northwestern pa region?
