  1. hi all i am trying to find a diff housing and rear backing plate for an 88/89 starquest do not need the centre or gears just casing and back plate.
  2. tr/ts magna wont work as i found out through a few members here, they are longer and taller and hit the booster etc. you need a tm/tp magna manifold if you are genuinely interested i can find one for you. just pm me.
  3. i assume you are talking about the upper plenum gasket? the only way to get them aftermarket is to buy a head gasket set, i rang my local mitsubishi guy and he said he has 32 available and they are $9 aud per gasket. the same dealer told 2 weeks ago they were no longer available but he double checked and sure enough they are the right ones.
  4. hi all i am looking into fitting a 1uzfe quad cam v8 into my starion but i need some info on the u.s. cars as a comparison for engineering certificates so i can license it. if anyone can help i would really appreciate it. i need to know: rim sizes tsi widebody hp rating 2.6 turbo curb weight engine weight fully assembled wet brake piston diameters front and rear brake master cylinder bore diameter and any other relative information which may help me

  6. i got them from a thread on one of the forums cant remember which one but they were done by a performance shop in the u.s.a thats all i know.

  8. used cant buy m6 or m7 heads new anymore and if you could the bare casting was worth $1200aud according to mitsubishi dealer here, my son threw my camera and stuffed it but it is crack and corrosion free and comes with the roller cam and roller rockers, was removed from a running engine. tim c. bought one of these heads off of me along with 4 more cams and roller rocker sets so he can do a few regrinds. let me know.

  11. they made an error in that article they say its got a q45 infinity motor but its definately a 1uzfe......well the jury is in and im definately going to do the swap will have to piss around and get permits first......lots of research coming up.

  16. has to be wrc what other racing goes from sand to snow to mud to bituman to ice etc......none. f1 rocks but to race wrc you have to hang your balls on the rear view mirror and give it death in some scary road conditions as some of the roads in europe they race on are on the sides of cliffs and are only about 1 /12 cars wide......consider that at 150mph. scary sh!t....
  17. as an aussie watching all this unfold i have to say that black white yellow or green doesnt matter, as long as he can fix the u.s. and instill confidence back in to your country. i dont want to tread on any toes but george w. bush was the worst thing that happened to your country.
  18. i was going to put g54 in my starion and mod one for my r/h car just curious to see if they would fit l/h, im going the 1uzfe 40lt quad cam v8 option instead.
  19. meant 4g63, my mistake. wasnt refering to injectors and rail as helping torque curve, the injectors have an altered spray pattern and the alloy fuel rail disapates heat better stopping gassing. the tapered runners increases air velocity which improves flow like stack tubes, the taper 30mm above the bend at the flange has a difference of 2.6mm which can be mated prior to rejoining. anyway clearance to booster ect is a problem so i'll let that one go......
  20. hi all i am looking at modifying a late model tr/ts magna manifold to suit the starion but aussie starions have g64b engines, so i would like some measurements if any one can help. ineed to know in millimeters the distance between the tp mpi manifold and the suspension tower and also the distance between the manifold and brake master to see if it will work on the U.S. cars as well. i have seen it done once before but i cant find the guy who did it or the car. any help would be appreciated. here is the tr/ts manifold bigger longer runners and bigger plenum, will have to shorten the top plenum runners 35mm to bring it to the same height as the tp manifold, but they are wider as well. the other advantage is better injectors and alloy fuel rail, should increase the torque curve as well. the tr/ts magnas got these manifolds the m6/7 heads and roller cam and rockers and made quite an increase in power and torque.
  21. a speedway guy here has been knife edging these cranks for years his race engines rev to 9500 but he did say that the torque curve dropped off by about 40-50ftlb which is why i havent done one to any of my rebuilds.(yet)
  22. hi all as some of you know i have been getting m6/7 magna heads and mpi manifolds for some members and i need to do a swap and any cash difference that may be involved. i need both front fenders, ksi auto parts have them new.... i am willing to trade a m6/m7 head with roller cam and roller rockers and a complete tp mpi manifold including shipping for the 2 new fenders shipped, if the cost of the fenders shipped is less than the cost of head and manifold then you win on the deal, if the cost of the guards is more i will pay the difference. i am in no great rush i would like them sent sea mail if possible(provided size doesnt restrict shipping). so if anyone is interested let me know. the link below is for ksi website and they are located in new jersey. http://www.ksiautoparts.com/ksiretail/k_pa...ARION++83-89%22
