    Alright i wasnt sure what forum this fell under so im going to write it in here.I just bought my second quest it is an 87, I would like to know how to get the best power out of the turbo.Can i get more boast out of the 12 if i were to get hardpipes?What are the best things to do to the 87 to get a little more fun out of the car. I would appreciate any help with this.Thanks.

    What kind of fluids do i need to put in the rearend and 5 speed trans.?Im going to replace fluids this weekend,Can i use syenthetic?87 conquest, I know that i need the lsd additive.Any help is greatly appreciated.

    So syenthetic axle lube in the rear with additive and synthetic gear oil in the trans. 75-90, does that sound like it will be ok?

    Rip it out of there will be fine.

    Thanks guys that is some helpful information and i really appreciate it.From what i was told by the previous owner the motor only has about thirty thousand miles on rebuid.Supposely the balance shafts have been eliminated and all timing components were replaced,so i shouldnt have to mess with any of that but i have put ngk plugs wires on it msd blaster2 and im in the process of rebuilding the throttle body and im also going to gut pre cat and remove cat and put muffler on it.My plans are to fix the body up and when im happy with the body then im going tto put a 16g on it and tottally beef up the motor possile total rebuild but i want to have some fun in it for now.I did have an 88 about 5 years ago when i was young and i would ran the crap out of it and was forced to get rid of it due to transmission and financial prblems.Im ready to build a good quest.The one that i bought is an 87.Again thanks alot for all the information.

    does anybody know how to get ahold of the pig tails for the fog lights and turn signals?Th e car that i just bought doesnt have either and i was wondering if you can pick them up at the dealership or does anybody have some to get rid of.

    thanks guys then i will just buy a downpipe. Just need to get some extra cash, the story of our lives.Thanks again.First im going to fix the body and then i will work on the motor.If i got a 16g turbo for it would i need an 88-89 ecu or would it be ok with just a boost controller or both?

    Hey guys i just bought my second conquest,87. My fisrt one was an 88 and i was sixteen and that thing really flew.The 87 that i have doesn't compare to it at all.When i first take off in the 87 the boost will kick in and it will pull pretty good then it seems to just not really pull any harder though out the power band.The intercooler has a little bit of damage to it, but it just feels as if the motor is being restricted as if the convertor is clogged up on it.Would it but a better money wise investment to gut the cat or to buy a downpipe?Any thoughts or information is greatly appreciated.
