  1. If money wasn't an issue I would own a bugatti SS and be done with it. Luxury, comfort, and king of speed.
  2. Yeah props to Robert for writing something so detailed. Hopefully you do what he says because he took some time out of his day to write that
  3. If you keep a good mindset and take people's help (criticism) well. You will go far. I think if you have no real car experience or know how then you should find someone local with this type of car that is knowledgeable. THAT will be your biggest help. Listen to what Robert(Komeuppance) says and REALLY do all of the things he recommended. That and someone local to help spot any new problems and your car should run great. So buy all of the things he said FIRST and do all of those procedures. Quiz buying pretty stuff to help the look of your car...it won't impress anyone here if it runs like crap
  4. Well to try to argue both sides a .83 t3 I "THINK" is about a .5 something a/r t4 or somewhere close. Maybe a .58 t4 is about a .90ish t3. With the power you are making you might see advantages of going with a bigger turbine like a little larger than .58 t4.
  5. It is in my sig now I think...yeah I would like for it to be a sticky O.o
  6. *Updated* Keep 'em coming people
  7. Just to add to these. The delphi 650 and 950 injectors will not make your car run rich.
  8. Yeah I agree you could add in a LOT of specific specs but this is really just a basic listing. Sorry Shelby, I didn't mean for it to seem like I was wanting you to. I wouldn't mind people doing it I just don't think I have time for that. There would be constant updates for a bigger list I think
  9. Shelby although a lot of people would be interested in that I still think it should be kept to a top 20. It isn't meant for your average power people it is just a record board showing top cars. I guess no one is stopping anyone from doing a 21-100 list or something?
  10. Just taking in all the info. Ultimately I will be the judge I guess on what happens but I will do what makes most people happy. It isn't something that anyone should get butt hurt over. Just a good example of how impressive our engines/cars can be! If a car makes 500whp and gets wrecked. I will keep it on there for record purposes especially if owner wants to.
  11. Whoa no you should NOT be treated like a mpi g54b with a 1jz. Two different engines man I would NOT suggest a .70 a/r t3 on a 1jz but again it depends on what you want...I would go much larger With a 1jz I wouldn't go anything smaller than .58 a/r t4. The exhaust housings run about $200 shipped I think. Good luck with the car!
  12. If it is indeed an hx35 then it is the 7 blade compressor. The exhaust housing isn't anything from a stock diesel as they were all internally gated I "think". The holset hx35 8 blade and 7 blade turbo's are great for the price but I would suggest getting a different exhaust housing from Bullseye performance. maybe a t3 .70a/r? Are you TBI / MPI? It would really help to know more about your build if I were to suggest this turbo...
  13. You mean this one? http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj197/lokiguard/DragTracker20.gif Well I want to keep this topic on top 20 higher HP cars... there is/will be a top TBI car section as well. I will make another post about quickest quests out there with a g54b but again let's keep this topic to just highest hp g54b quests. The list will probably stay at 20 for a while now for simplicity unless I have a ton of people sending me updates which they aren't
  14. Well it seems like most of you want the list lengthened. I would not have a problem with that at all. Possibly top 30? SQR I really appreciate your contribution with the stock ecu and would love to list that. What would everyone want listed? Majority rules but about knocking off old schoolers...it only shows how much we are advancing!
  15. lol thanks for the correction. I will update it ASAP! If not immediately hopefully within a few days of getting the information. Again Dyno sheet IS required!
  16. Just today actually. I updated 2 and added a person to the list. If you know of someone else please pm me
  17. I don't see how you can get it running well at all with two secondaries. If you still have the stock ecu in the car I think you would need staged injection still. There is nothing telling the ecu that you have the same size injectors etc... You need one smaller and one larger or I would think your afr will NEVER get adjusted right.
  18. So I am going to be updating the top 20 g54b starquests. If you would like to join the ranks send me your dyno sheet and as much info on the car as possible. http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj197/lokiguard/SQTop20-2.gif *edit* added some updates to the list
  19. I would first start by asking what you want from the car... If you just want a really quick street car I would try to convince you that the hot side of your turbo is way too small and needs to be more along the lines of a td05h at minimum. After that you are looking at the stock injectors which hopefully are working correctly. You should probably get a wideband so you can check your afr even though it isn't necessary unless you have a way to adjust fuel. With the 16g you have you could probably (guessing here) run about 10-15psi on an 88-89 ecu and not have fuel problems. StarQuestRescue knows quite a lot about how the stock ecu reacts and the limits of the stock injectors. With scott's megasquirt ecu you could run 20psi+ with bigger injectors...with his ecu the sky is the limit depending on who you get to tune it and the turbo choice. If you want more boost bigger injectors will be a must around 250whp. If you want a basic way to tune the car a lot of people go with the maft route. Around $350 and it is a way to adjust afr (must have a wideband) Good luck!
  20. You need to re-read that lol When did I ever say the same turbo? Saying a magna manifold outflows a stock one is about one of the most obvious things I can think of... If you go mpi and stay with a small turbo then I will just make fun of you BTW I am running two 1150cc injectors and at 20psi I am near maxing them out... 50 base fuel pressure btw Sorry that will be my last comment. I apologize for crapping up your thread Caliber :-\
  21. See I tend to disagree with the last statement. I think that the turbine is your first major restriction. Give an mpi car a 16g td05 or even td05h and a tbi car with a much larger compressor and turbine. The intake will not yield more power. Our stock TBI's can take two 1200cc injectors and max them out on a large turbo is all I am trying to say. Obviously a larger intake would be a big help but I think the turbine should be changed before the intake
