  1. Any Chance you still have that exhaust manifold still for sale???
  2. Thanks everyone for the great response on the Starion, back when i got her there was no such thing as the internet, not at this level anyways. Due to the fact that I had offers from such great people on this site offering to assist me with parts and offering technical assistance to get help her up and running, I thought it foolish to sell, considering Ive keep her for 14 years at this point. I think its best to throw a few grand into and get her up to par, than to sell for a few bucks that will be spent on some lame bills, which always keep coming, Thanks again...........Ron
  3. Had a great time tonight, thanks for the invite, I learned alot from you guys-Its incredible the amount of knowledge you all have on these puppies...I thought that the 160 on the speedo was just for show Fanta!!! I must say it is the coldest weather Ive ever had her out in, ran really good in the cold crisp air. Marc, Sorry I missed you was loking forward to seeing you once again. Thanks again for all the insight!!!!
  4. Scott , I will send you some interior pics later today, if you reset the tps and stop her from burning rich you may get her to Houston, Ive never driven her that far so it could be a little risky, better off having it shipped, anyone know what average cost for shipping are???

  8. Hey Guys, my first post here, been so lucky over the past 13 years, but now I have a problem that I need your help. For the past month my 88 Starion, manual tranny-if it matters, was idling high, if I were driving it would also sometimes race up at 3000 rpm at. After a while when I come to a stop It would idle high, the after 10-15 seconds the idle would come back down to about 1100 rpms. Then if I were to start it back up within a half hour, it would be very hard to start, would turn over but would not fire, I would get a major gas smell like it was flooding, I would have to either feather the peddle or push it all the way to the floor to get her to eventually start. This went on for about 2 weeks, then last week I went to start her and it started right up but sounded like 1 0r 2 cylinders were not firing, then after 20 seconds it ran fine. I turned her off then went to start her about 30 minuts later, and it just turns over, no firing and a big time smell of gas. I went to check the plugs, which about 2 months ago were in good shape, now were all black and fouled out looking. I then changed the plugs and wires, she still does not fire. I pulled the new plugs and they were soaked with gas, all of the plugs are getting spark,, I tried starter fluid- no luck. I check the injectors, one seems to be working when I try to start her. I did notice that one of the injectors can be moved around, the other injector is held tightly in the clip. I also noticed that when the key was in the on poistion, I would hear the injector spraying, even tho I was not trying to start her. All vaccum lines seem ok. Ive been reading all the post, but cannot really figure it out. Could it be a bad EGR, could it be bad injector clips, a bad ecu.... I did hear that the fusible link box need to be cleaned...If anyone has any thoughts that would be greatly appreciated, thanks......Ron
