  1. im still interested in the car i need to wait till tax returns, which shouldnt be long b/c i do it as soon as i get my 1099. How much would you sell it for if you put it back to stock?
  2. Yeah erie pa isnt that far, only a couple hour trip, definately would be worth it to check it out!!
  3. now im learning, didnt know about the forged wheels, maybe they just seemed heavy b/c of the ones i saw being the shp rears... as for rushing into it, i plan on getting some seat time with the car the way it is, before i do any modification to the car, and messing my front end up like that, our group meets on an old military airport that is shut down, with plenty of room, and no walls to hit, i think they held a national even there this summer, but i wasnt there. overall i just like hearing what is working for people that have already done this!!
  4. just what i was afraid of, because ive been looking at a guys car on here that has a 19c in it! would that mod affect the class i could pick or could i still stay in street modified?(dont know a whole lot about all the classes yet) i guess either way where im from theres no a whole lot of the 1000 hp modified behemoths that you guys might be around so shouldnt be a problem. also since im fairly new to this car, what exactly is the jet head elimination, as in what changes in the head? anybody experiment with aftermarket rims? i just remember the rear rims on the starquest being super heavy, just wondering if it would change much by getting lighter wheels. thanks for the contact info ill definately be contacting some people later this winter hopefully
  5. So Maybe this is a long shot but thats what a forum is for right? so im going to get into AutoX next year, ive hung out with a bunch of people at my local group, and im most likely going to get a starquest to do this with, (ive been trying to buy one for years, but im finally financially stable to where i can do it) What type of parts should i get first to make myself competitive? Suspension: coilovers lightweight rims tires brakes sway bars strut bars Engine: Turbo (smaller/larger) dont know what would be better in this situation fuel system anything else thats not too intense Any information you have would be a great help! i know theres plenty of people on this site who have done autox before with a starquest. also anything that you pulled from the car to reduce weight? i wouldnt mind losing some features (carpet type stuff) that are mainly dead weight Thanks ahead of time
  6. NICE... definately take pics of the job your doing, looks like no small feat good luck with the build
  7. seems like we have the exact opposit schedule or something, im most likely going to be gone this weekend, hows next weekend to come look at it 11/15 --- as long as its not a holiday or something
  8. too bad monroe county, and monroe werent closer.......but may still be interested! what do you mean by "typical frame rot" if its rotted at all its probably a serious problem, if its just rust colored and looks strong then its probably fine just thought i would ask also might be hard to get 2750 with a starion in pieces
  9. yeah link comes up for me as a 90 celica gts... not quite the same as a 79 supra
  10. its a clean car, just dont know if its worth it to pay 2500 for one im going to have to get a new head for, or atleast fixed. if you decide to come down at all pm me
  11. Has this car been sold yet?..Any changes? how much are you asking for it now? I might be interested...Thanks
  12. Sounds about right it probably was your brother that was selling it. i wont lie though i was one of those guys to low ball the other car, but i couldnt really afford one at the time anyway. but im done with college and looking for one for this winter(to work on if anything is wrong with it) but mostly for next summer.
  13. I was looking at your pictures of the new conquest you have and i know ive seen that shop before, were you selling a super clean black quest about a year ago, not too many people have a lift like that. also i live in rochester and wouldnt mind coming to check out the red quest sometime. if its the house ive been to before theres probably like 4 to choose from....lol. send me a phone# to call at some point Thanks Nate
