  1. Hey guys, I need all the help I can get so my brother can win a import vs. Muscle photo contest on Instagram. My brother aka conquestador707 here on the forums, is representing imports with his silver evo x and actually made it to the final 2. Please show him and his car some support by liking his picture on Instagram at @fairfield_motorsports page. His name IG name is Ricky_rick07. Contest ends in an hour. #starquestclub so we know where the support is coming from Thank you guys so much for the support in advance David
  2. i was just snoopin around and ran into this old post.. just curious to see how your swap turned out Paul L. any of my info work out for you or did you have to do things a different way. going on to do a 2nd swap and got a little rusty

  4. thanks Tim for the sticky. and 83 project toy sorry i didnt relize that the link you had put up was the same link that i was trying to put up so thank you for that. im not sure why your link posts up my pics fine but when i put my link, they wouldnt show. anyway, hows everyone been? i havent got a chance to communicate with any of my flatsider buddies in a while!
  5. for some reason the link wouldn't allow my pics from photobucket to be seen so i had to go through and dig up those pics and repost here. is there anyway this can be in the faqs or maybe even a sticky so that we can have this info handy?
  6. Posted 26 February 2008 - 03:35 AM hey guys i finally decided to do this so i kept track, took pictures and even drew up a diagram. i tried to make it as easy to read as possible for the first timer. All credit for this goes to Tim_C. qithout him i wouldn't of been able to do this upgrade at all. Thanks tim first things first, make sure your accordian hose has 2 nipples, if im not mistaken 87 widebodies have these. you will need the extra nipple to relocate the oil seperator. any info on any others that can be used feel free to update me. Heres the aircan w/ the harness, i decided to use this end of the harness because i needed enough wire to reach the top of the 1st gen mas plug. http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/dd132/idriftnaked707/IMGA0253.jpg i cut my harness right around the middle since i will be using it again for smog in the future http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/dd132/idriftnaked707/IMGA0254.jpg this is how a complete 1st gen harness should look like from the back 1 2 3 4 x 5 6 7 http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/dd132/idriftnaked707/IMGA0252.jpg i cut the unneccesary wires off for less confusion, the only wires you need for this is x 2 3 x X 5 x 7 http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/dd132/idriftnaked707/IMGA0255.jpg when your done connecting the frankenharness should look like this http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/dd132/idriftnaked707/IMGA0256.jpg Here's a diagram that a whipped up, hopefully this helps http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/dd132/idriftnaked707/1stgenmasconversion-1.jpg too bad i cant enjoy this until i yank off my oil pan and figure out my damn oil pressure problem. anywho enjoy fellas David

  13. yea i watched the 1st video just to get an idea of the 1st workout and i did notice right off the batt that he was going to get annoying, but luckily in the main menu it gives you the option to not be able to hear him babble you gave me great advice, thank you. i was planning on eating only tuna and greens for about the first 2 weeks and then slowly start adding wheat bread and more greens to my diet. hopefully it works out good for me. Thanks again
  14. i've got a vacation to mexico coming up in december, so i see this program fit timewise to get back in shape. i am however going to add some cardio to my daily routine just to drop some extra fat. my goal is to drop 35 lbs by december, hopefully i can stick with it. has anyone here done it completely through the entire 90 days? or is someone currently on it? what were your results? post pics give details im starting mine on monday, if anyone else is starting next week let me know. ill post pics after the whole thing is completed by the end of november David
  15. i use aol and im about to cancell it too. after hearing this it makes me want to record the conversation that i will have. i promise you guys that i'll post it here 1st if its any interesting
  16. not sure if someone posted this here before but this thing is pretty funny
  17. sorry guys if i wasn't clear before, but i'm talking about my brothers 87 g54b, not my 2.0 swap. well i did find out that the valve cover had a lot to do with it, turns out that we had hacked the vent tabs inside the valve cover just a little bit to much to clear the arp head studs. it also didnt help that we were using those awful aftermarket 2 way pcv valves. BUY OEM! when it comes to pcv valves atleast, your car will love you for it! well after we hacked a new valve cover and installed a new oem pcv valve, the car didnt get blowby at all until we took it to the smog station for test only. everything was fine until the smog tech put it under heavy load and the dipstick farted out a splat of oil. ever since then i decided to do the old racer trick and i put a spark plug boot over the dipstick and its held up fine.
  18. i'll pm you his # i'm off this weekend, im actually having a bbq on sat if you and jason want to come through, ill pm you guys my adress thanks, i'm running an evo 3 big 16g
