The weld color doesnt seem right for a back purged weld. Maybe it was backpurged but not correctly. Its crusty black and welded very hot. Alot of oxidization on the surface. Very large heat affected zone for the thickness of the material and doesnt even look like its penetrated 80%. Cracks usually develop at the heat affected zone right after the weld. Welding too hot on stainless and turning it black removes the properties that make it stainless. It also becomes very brittle. ***This is my personal opinion im in no way trying to bash anyones work. Ive seen chads work but ive never had any experience with it. I may be wrong but Im speaking from 11 years experience with welding stainless steel. I weld stainless pipe and aluminum frames all day everyday 6 days a week mig tig and stick at times. It is a very tempermental material and usually for it to last it needs to be done correctly.***
