  1. Hey all, Well through this entire process, my son has fallen in love with the car. Soooooooo....I went out and bought him his own. He's the new proud owner of the yellow '88 conquest that was being sold by Voltron. He'll be 15 in October so we have time for the build, but just wanted to welcome him into the fold. He's very excited about the car, and to have his own membership on SQC. If you have a chance, drop him a line saying welcome. He's member CodyQuest88 Thanks guys, Nick Pics were taken by Voltron http://i1073.photobucket.com/albums/w396/Nikolaya77498/306967_410536758989077_1272225626_n.jpg http://i1073.photobucket.com/albums/w396/Nikolaya77498/282281_410537015655718_1375851750_n.jpg http://i1073.photobucket.com/albums/w396/Nikolaya77498/181408_411389262237160_601012252_n.jpg http://i1073.photobucket.com/albums/w396/Nikolaya77498/521395_411386882237398_240484698_n.jpg

  2. Come on man....You know it depends on the kid......My first "car" was a 69 chevy CST pickup with 396. It had over 400hp and I "never" did anything stupid. My dad told me if I raced it on the street he would cut it in half while I watched and I would ride the bus.... I didn't race it....Not all teenagers are idiots. And the fact that he is getting it for him at 15 is better....Working on it will change the way he drives because of the investment he has in it.... Lets be honest....a 188hp car isn't really that fast. "A man's car"......... just be happy for him and hope for the best.

  4. I think one of the keys is that the OP said that he's going to make sure the son puts in the wrench time on the car. That, to me, will make all the difference. If you just GIVE a kid a car like that, sure enough, he'll go destroy it. If he actually has sweat equity in it, chances are pretty good that he's going to think twice about doing something stupid.

  6. lol and for the record (before someone gets needlessly mad) i was being sarcastic above. when i get around to selling them, of course i'll post them here first, haha. i'd honestly rather sell them to starion owners than to other s-chassis guys since i know you folks will be much more likely to take good care of em.

  7. Oh really? Hmm, well that's good to know. I'll definitely keep these in mind. It might be a bit over kill as I'm still boosting on a 16g but either way I'll see how much I have left to work with after I payoff the intake here in a few days. If these are still available I'll highly consider.

  8. Save the scrolling through the POS's -Robert hey! i recognize that car! it's sitting in my driveway! and all those wheels are on my back deck! i actually joined this forum because i'll be selling all these wheels in the next few months. i figured this would be a great place to sell them, since some of you die-hard starion guys would really want the original wheels. ...but if you guys are gonna be so easily butthurt about me putting your prized wheels on a 240... [edited, at as per rules/request] ...to the zilvia marketplace i go!

  9. Not to pat myself on the back, but I suggest that you read and fully implement the below link to getting the ENTIRE 24 year old SQ drive train up to supporting the increased HP/torque that you want to build your SQ engine up to. http://www.starquestclub.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=66449 If you don't you will just be going from one disaster to another disaster. ;) For what It's Worth.
