BMX2FOUR7 Posted November 2, 2009 Report Share Posted November 2, 2009 hey i just took out my abs modulator and that was pretty simple. so now i just wanna get rid of everything i can from under the hood so i was looking for a link if there is one to a cruise control removal as well as whatever that black canister is in front of it. i just wanna make sure i take this stuff out properly and cap the right vaccuum ports or re route things cause i dont wanna cause more problems just by blindly ripping things out. thanks guys. strang3majik Posted November 3, 2009 Report Share Posted November 3, 2009 why do you want to remove your cruise control? If it works, I'd keep it. The whole system weighs all of maybe 10 lbs. But...the black canister with the cap on it, leave there. Thats your power steering resovoir. The black canister with the vac line going into the top is your vacuum canister, and it hold vacuum made by the vacuum pump located at the front of the car, so that the cruise control, and HVAC controls operate under boost.
