autoxer
Hey guys and gals , I am looking for pictures of floor shifters used in v8 swaps with an automatic transmission. And any recommendations that worked good and looked clean when installed. Thanks for the help, James

v8starion
Not really a clean install as I have my interior out at the moment. But I run a Full manual reverse valvebody TH400 w/a Hurst Pro Stick shifter. because it is manual I need to shift alot. So I sat in the car with my belts on and put the shifter where it was comfortable and close to the wheel. Then I made a mount. It swivels and telescopes for fine adjustments. If you go with a Pro Stick I would find someone who has one and try it out first. The lockout system works very well but it does take some practice.(When to hold the lever/release the lever) http://i632.photobucket.com/albums/uu50/camostarquest/CIMG3933.jpg http://i632.photobucket.com/albums/uu50/camostarquest/CIMG3938.jpg

helrazr70
If you want to save a few $$... You can also use a stock shifter from an auto quest. You can modify the linkage to work for drive or passenger side shifted transmissions. --As long as the number of trans shift positions matches the factory shifter it should work. V8 RX7 guys use their factory shifters on many occasions for a stock look. It just takes a little imagination and sometimes a little fabrication.
