I will try to make it, even if I have to drive the Xterra. I still need a transmission for the Staroin.

Very cool, it would be cool to see ya again. Oh, and I have the same problem as you do. Not the Xterra part but the transmission part LOL.

I should still be able to get them both there even if I have to trailer one.

Oh, and anyone that is going to this...

There is pre-registration for the show that ends next week. By pre-registering, you get a chance to win a tool box. Now, that registration has nothing to do with SQ, it's just the registration that is charged by the Veterans Weekend car show organizers. You can register day of, but lose the chance to win the tool box. Since I'm a tool box hog (I have 3 rollers, two top chests and two side cabinets and still need more room for tools LOL), I can't pass up the opprotunity to win another so I'm registering this week. The registration gets you into the show and gives you the chance to win the classes that our cars fit into (import, etc..) among all the other goodies the Veterans Weekend car show organizers have planned.

We intend on having a car show within a car show just for our SQ's tho. We got a couple vendors already donating some stuff, and I plan on donating 2-3 things, one of which may or may not be a new (or shall we say re-issue) part made from fiberglass

We will have 3 different classes and already have some trophies on the way. There will be NO COST to be in the SQ show above and beyond the registration for the Veterans Weekend Car Show. If you are wanting to come but can't bring a SQ or other vehicle, I'm sure you could skip the registration and just come by and hang out with us.

So far we have 16 people going for sure, and 3 or 4 that are maybes, which is pretty good considering it was kind of thrown together pretty quick like.

I'll update later with more info and maybe some pics of the various prizes that will be there for the taking.

We plan to meet up close by the morning of the show, because the only way we can all park together is if we go in together

The pre-registration is over, but you can still register the day of the show. Be looking for info about where and when we will all meet up saturday morning, so we can all go into the show together and park together.

Had a great time! We had about 10 SQs I think, and about 15 or 16 SQ owners/members there (a few cam without their cars).

I didn't get many pics but here's a couple....

Man Mark I really like the pic of us cruising in the fog. Of course I am biased since my car is in the pic. That is my new screen saver.

Yeah, that fog pic is cool. Larry and Paul took a bunch of pics and I have copies of those too. They both took lots of pics of the cruise to the show in the fog. This is my new wallpaper...

As you can see, those pics are pretty big so I haven't uploaded them anywhere- figured I'd give the people who took them a chance to post them up first LOL.

I'll make ya up a CD of all the pics I have and give it to ya the next time I see you. I think between Paul, Larry, and Collin Gibb, there's gotta be atleast 300 pics out there.

Oh, and thanks again to the great vendors who donated prizes for the meet. Between Dad, Jolyrgrjr, 101propose/Mookeeh, and the few things I donated, we had enough prizes to where nobody went home empty handed. We didn't give prizes away for the show classes- just trophies. We figured by just raffling off the prizes it would give the people who didn't have the nicest looking cars a chance to go home with something.

That being said, there weren't any not-nice looking SQs there. In fact, most of the SQs there were all top-notch. There wasn't even a missing airdam in the whole bunch! Gotta be the first SQ meet I've been to that I can say that about LOL.

In fact, for our classes we initially planned on the Best Overall SQ, Best Modified SQ, and Best Stock SQ. As it turned out, there was only one car that could remotely be called close to stock, but half the cars were MPI, so we kinda changed the classes on the fly and changed Modified to MPI, and Stock to TBI. The winners were....

Best Overall SQ:

1st- Gofastredstar

2nd- LandRocket

3rd- Burton (yay! the first trophy for my car!)

Best TBI: colingibb

Best MPI: Gofastredstar

Here's the picture thread from over at 26liter....

A few people have put up links to their pics, and I suspect more will upload them soon. The fog pics were taken by both PDodson and Larry32t's wife. I don't think either of them have theirs uploaded anyplace yet, and they're not really my pics to upload and distribute, so you'll probably want to check back in the next couple days because I'm sure more will be up.
