jenkinsautoglass
been fixing up the quest for a few months now, cyberquest painted it last week and i was so happy to get it back and start sporting it around.got it out to drive yesterday and when i started it it had a miss for about 30 seconds then smoothed out.so i drove it home from my shop which is like 5 minutes from my house, parked it and turned off the key and seen smoke from under the hood..it was steam from the overflow bottle.took it back to work today and went to start it to go to lunch and it was smoking like a train...white smoke...so i pressurized the cooling system and removed the plugs and let it sit..cranked it with no plugs and #4 spit out antifreeze,so i brought #4 up top and let it sit with the pressure on it.i shined a light in #4 and could see antifreeze filling up the cylinder..someone just shoot me now.... UlrichWolf
Aw, Jenkins, it ain't that bad. A head swap is only a couple of hour job. Just get that coolant out of there! Tim
jenkinsautoglass
its just a stock head, but i did notice that it had a metal headgasket on it now..
Edde
I hope it isn't serious (a headgasket alone is an opportunity).
Tim_C.
#4 could just be the gasket. At least you have a shiny paint job waiting for when the job gets done!
