chasm2530
I meant to do this as far back as two years ago. One week after getting the hood from Matt(livesTSI) it's in the shop gettin' shot: http://i232.photobucket.com/albums/ee299/chasm2530/paintbooth.jpg Edited September 13, 2009 by chasm2530

chasm2530
Yeah, I've got coupla more pics but problems with cell phone co. has kept me from being able to send them to my computer. Anyways, it was being shot yesterday so I should have some finished pics up soon. I pulled the rear rubbers(spoiler) so they could be shot with flex-agent paint. Think I'm gonna have a really good looking super durable paint job out of this deal. Single-stage RO4 polyurethane. Four weeks of prep! Should have it straightened out and pictures up Monday or Tues. Yeah, it looks like 1988 all over agin.

chasm2530
It's funny how RED the car looks to the naked eye and how ORANGEY it is in the pics. The R04 really is a "porshe red" color. http://i232.photobucket.com/albums/ee299/chasm2530/99driverFront.jpg http://i232.photobucket.com/albums/ee299/chasm2530/88driverRear.jpg http://i232.photobucket.com/albums/ee299/chasm2530/88passfront.jpg

chasm2530
very sharp! Thanks MM...I know most of us are kinda burned out on red but these cars are getting rare enough now that even red is rare. The only Quests I see on the road anymore are reflections in store windows with me driving! In the future red will be as rare as the other colors because the red ones get junked FIRST! chasm2530
Excellent paint job. I hope mine turns out as nice! What you're doing is so cool, the "ground up" thing but that's the only way to pull off a color change and do it right. I lucked out, took mine to a guy I'd been talking to for a while about painting it. I told him I didn't want a show car I just wanted it to look brand new...turned out good. It really does look brand new. Hood compliments it well. Hope to see it in person sometime.
