so bought a starion block, mated it with a starion trans i had and there in the truck now. I need to install my fuel pump, figure out my hydraulic clutch set up, get the fuel feed line to the mani, exhaust, install some gauges, i/c pipes, and make and exhaust....Giving myself 3 weeks to get it running, while working 40+ hours a week.

buncha little stuff screwed us over. Fuel leaks which are fixed now, not running the right ballast resistor for my coil which is what is sending 12v to my megasquirt so that wasn't getting good power. Also my water pump was bad so we changed that. And the downpipe that scott made hid my log manifold so he had to redo that. Getting the ballast resitor tomorrow, and were getting it running on friday which is the next day i have off. Then comes the fun part. Once it runs i still have to figure out how to convert it to hydraulic clutch and it will be moveable..

Welp after a lot of "hiccups" we finally drove the truck for the first time last night. Here are some pics.

Very nice! Tell me you guys welded a 1/8" npt bung on for the coolant temp sender! What did you guys do about the fuel pump block off on the head? Also, where did you mount the coolant temp SENSOR? Is it still mounted to the rear coolant outlet to the heater? If it is, you wont get accurate temp readings to the ecu unless the heater core is fully flowing. When the core is closed off, the coolant is stagnant and the ecu will read colder than the engine really is.

That sticker takes me back to my Fatty though....

In case you didnt look inside that thermostat housing, heres what it looks like:

Its an n/a 2.6 housing and a turbo 2.6 housing mated together. I put a little step in it so the thermostat will fit flush. It will accept the factory thermostat and gasket. I never had any leaks with it as long as it was on the car. I left that temp switch in there as a plug, though I think the autometer sender will fit, but you will have to make a ground path for it.

No problem! I was thinking you could probably make some sort of tee-fitting from the rear coolant outlet to go to both the heater and back to the thermostat housing so there will be constant flow. If you look at the stock tbi manifold, coolant is allowed to flow all the time from that rear passage weather or not the heater is open.

I got the radiator from TEP(I think Spearco made them though) shortly after they first came out back in 2004? I wouldnt get one again because of fitment issues and they way it was built. But it still works and doesnt give me problems, so Ill keep it. :)
