yep I have one from before Star-Orion officially was created. I asked to leave the last one blank, and cut slots for the switches you see myself

Finished up the install of the gauges. wasnt that bad. but for some reason the temp gauges doesnt work right. i triple checked the wiring. it all ok. but the gauges goes right to 250 + as soon as i turn the key on. It WAS at zero when i first started the car. but it slowy climbed up to 250 and stayed their. but i'm not over heating. fans are still coming on fine. i'm lost. .....i cant wait to wire my tec2 for my mpi.

You don't have to cut the pocket out. If you trim the tabs on the ends of the control panel, you can use longer screws and it'll bolt in behind the radio panel. Also, the wiring for the controller is long enough to snake down from the OEM location and use in the new location, no cutting required.

If your using the stock radio, then yes, that's your only real location. If you wanted to keep the pocket, you could probably put the panel in the glovebox and not have to see it at all, the wires should be long enough.

Send a PM to Jolyrgr and ask him to make you one of the panels. I got mine last year for $30 plus shipping.
