carguygibby
is Synthetic ATF worth it??? my friend was thinking about getting it for his automatic any exsperiences with it bad? good? lemme kno Thanks -Brett I used Amsoil synthetic ATF in my 86 flatty after I had the tranny rebuilt. No problems with it whatsover. I also used it in my old 1992 Mercedes 300E, improved shifting, gas mileage and no leaks in over 160,000 miles. gwadd85
synthetic oils are almost always better, except for break-in period. go for it.
85starionturbo
I was getting new wheels put on and since they had a really cheap price for an oil change I let them go ahead and do it. Within a week I was leaking oil around the pan and the valve cover. i couldn't figure it out until a looked back at my receipt and realized they used synthetic. They drained it and refilled with standard 10w-30 and after a couple weeks i was good to go. Fo me...I will not use it again until I upgrade all my seals.
