hyselltech
I have an 87 and it has the oil and air seperator on it and i was wondering if i can delete it and just put a breather on the outlet on the valve cover?
shift1313
you can but this setup actually pulls a vac on the engine because it has a feed before the turbo creating a vac. I think from testing it actually does better than a krank vent.
hyselltech
So i should just leave it the way it is.
shift1313
thats up to you. many member who run mpi or run open air cans have replaced them for either krank vent system or just a filter. Personally i like the fact that the stock air can/seperator pulls a vac on the case. in my eyes just running a filter adds resistance to the air trying to leave the case. just an opinion though.
