8starion7
ok. i was told by the previous owner that he had it at like 12psi but its 100% stock.
jlnelson51
he probebley had a manual boost contorller that he took off before you boght it, they are able to do 12psi for the stock turbo, but i would go to a exguhst system, 2.5'' or 3'' and a blow off valve, then go to 12psi with a boost controller
JustPaus_88TSi
Not that anyone without experience should do it, but i've seen the stock setup go to 21psi.. Heavy exhaust manifold/turbo porting etc... If the fuel and ignition system is working fine, and of course the motor has good compression and passes a leak down test, 15psi will be fine for most people with an exhaust. It's pointless to do this with the stock exhaust.
8starion7
i think that the guy was just talking out of his a**. cuz it was surging around 6 psi when i bought it and i got home and found tons of open tees. i just got a muffler and am doing a custom 3" from turbo back. then looking at getting hardpipes and a bov.
