mstieg Posted July 3, 2008 Report Share Posted July 3, 2008 (edited) While we weren't able to complete the tune as the MAP and TPS are now re-calibrated much differently to allow for more idle and non-boost tunability, I thought this was pretty interesting: At a mere 1000rpms, my turbo was building 3-5psi boost under load! Even the tuner was blown away by the fact such a large turbo spooled so early, let alone any turbo. With the wastegate working and exhaust leaks sealed up, it sure whistles loud too. Ask the Tainters, although what they heard was only a taste due to the previous issues preventing spool. It'll be next week before we're able to finish the job. I can't wait for a nice streetable idle as well as the potentital top end #s. I planned to keep quiet for the most part until I had something worth posting, but if you can't tell, after this loooong MPI process, I'm pretty darn anxious (knock on wood).
