Yea, i made that one up for everone over there.

 

I can get you a 4.20 gearset "kit" that includes the seals, bearings, and gears for $600 plus shipping. Brand new OEM parts.

 

I just put one together for another member.

so this 3.90 and 4.20 is better then stock in what way.

i have friend with a mustang just v6 but he charged out is rear diff gear and drop a hole sec on his time.

what type of gear or switch one will do this>?

Manuals and automatics have a different overdrive ratio... so no. ;)

Tack or speedo could be off. Best way to check ratio is jack up car with trans in neutral. Rotate rear wheels one revolution, with lsd they should turn together. If drive shaft turns 3.54 times it's a 3.54. 3.9 times its a 3.90. Do it a couple of times. It's enough of a difference between the two that it"s pretty easy to tell this way.
