willmoodom Posted July 4, 2007 Report Share Posted July 4, 2007 Some where on here I read that the fip can plug directly into the stock harness and everything would work fine except the tac. I'm also reading that the ecu does nothing for the timing and knock control. If this is the case, then the only reason to go ignition pro or other would be to have programming control over the timing correct? Otherwise, a person like myself can use this unit for now and still have that measure of safety with the stock knock control. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
importwarrior Posted July 4, 2007 Report Share Posted July 4, 2007 best bet is to call them. i dont believe it plugs in to the stock harness. you might have to splice in a few wires. besides that it is plug n play. they also sell an ignition setup as well.
