Guest
When I rebuilt my rearend I had the machine shop remove the inner seal on the bearing's facing each other and drilled a couple of small holes in the outer seals before they were presssed in. Then a grease fitting installed on the bottom of the hub housing for easy access when under the car servicing it. The first time it took almost a whole tube of grease to do both sides , now just a couple of pumps on the grease gun . Peace Geo
Shawn_Silva
Thats a great idea, cause they are a sealed unit factory, correct? I wish the aftermarket would correct this on tie rod end and balljoints, but they constantly copy the factory and supply sealed joints. I would much rather have a nipple to supply the life blood, rather than guessing on the life expectancy of my current joint. Take care Shawn P.S. Don't let the light go out.........It's the last match we got!
kev
That is a cool little mod. It is good to keep those things packed. I had to basically put a full tube in mine and now its in there for good unless I ever have to pull them down again, hopefully not. kev
