Pounder_Pit
I just installed my turbo timer and the remaining wires I have left are the blue and brown wires which said to go to the ecu, I think the ecu is on the passenger side kick panel, but which wires do I splice them into ??? 860QuestTuner
I think they are for the automatic timer based on RPM.It won't work on the quest becuase of the tach signal. They make a converter for it.Did you use the harness?
SFBMX88
I did use the harness. Along with the signal converter (which is an additional $50 or so). All functions on the hks timer work.
860QuestTuner
Did you hoop the wire up to the e-brake.If you have a manual trani there's a wire for the hand brake,so it doesn't run in case it's in gear it won't activate unless the e-brake is on. SFBMX88
buhhh???? Yeah, I did hook it up to the E-brake switch. When the brake is set, the timer will time down.
860QuestTuner
ok, so if all the functions work on the timer what is your problem? Those wires could be for connecting on a different car. Some turbo timers also have a relay to work with aftermarket alarms. If it's all working then you should be all set, also if the timer has a boost alarm those wires could be for map sensor.Starquests don't have those, early models had boost a boost sensor on firewall above brake booster.
