The easiest way to keep the appearance as close to stock is...

 

Purchase a stock radio/amp/changeer from 1989 thru 1993...

Eclipse, Galant, Montero, 3000GT, Diamonte, etc

 

Bolts right in -- no hardware changes

Plugs right in -- no wiring changes

 Could also keep the deck you have and buy a RF modulated changer to hook up to it. RF  modulated means that the changer sends its signal to the radio thru the radio's antenna connection. They come with wired displays/controls so you can install the changer display wherever you want. Some even have remote controllers.

All the major car audio brands make them.

 Of course that's kind of an expensive one, but you get the idea.

So does that mean that the steering wheel controls will still work? Also, does anyone have any pics of these other factory head units?
